Nice sprint from Meersman.
Who was the BMC rider who thought that they could lead out the peloton for 700 metres there?

Well that was a bit disappointing from Goss in the end. Chapeau to Gianni Meersman and OPQS though, a well deserved victory from the bunch sprint. |

I saw some riders short-cutting about 20km before the finish (stupid me for not writing down the distance). I think it was a parking of a restaurant, so no big deal. How much short-cutting is allowed? |

If it was in the sprint, probably stuff would happen. |

What do you mean? They rode through a carpark to cut across a corner?

Good win for Meersman. Nice sprint by Nizzolo who had to do two sprints at the end. One to get better positioned and once again to follow Meersman. |

True. Risky though trying these sprints just to get Top10. |

Isn't risky, because Rui can get Top5 or Top-3, but he can win the points jersey. He can sprint in smaller groups and get points. The Tour de Romandie is a hilly/mountain Tour and because of that the best sprinters don't win stages. |

You don't think Meersman, Nizzolo, Ferrari, Goss, etc are real sprinters?

I said best sprinters, Goss is one of them, but with this stages Rui can win. Meersman is a good sprinter but in a smaller groups. Nizzolo needs to improve and Ferrari can do good results. |

Just watched it now. Nice work by Meersman to find a way through. Goss was in a similar position going in to the last 300m and had a gap down the left but obviously had nothing there.
