Ok, there is no way at all we can alter the custom tour file and the tour will play the stage properly?

Well if Setzel edits the customtour file like I keep telling him to on MSN it might work but its doubtful.
Maybe if the actually save game cdb file was edited using a converter?

Like I told you, you dont need Kicker or anything like that to edit the customtour file. ALL you need is notepad.

Now we need someone who knows what he's doing - does the game read it from customtour, or does it load it from a DB?
I have a hunch it should be customtour - try editing that correctly, empty the cache, and then try

It could (very unlikely) load it from the cache. We just need to try

please get it to work.
else can you play the race untill where we are now, edit the savegame to the results we have now??? and then play on??? is thgat possible???
else maybe do the TT only because then there's no chasing needed. and then calculte the times
or give points for the results there are now...

We will most likely play the 3 remaining stages and cumulate the times. Were not giving to give out full points now.

I realise there's no easy way out of this. But if we "cumulate the times" this could be a very possible scenario:
Before the final of the three races held in order to complete T-A, X leads the Italian race. Y is placed 2nd in the GC, 20 seconds down on his opponent.
At the last kilometers, X looks superior, but decides not to attack, as he is already in pole-position and does not want to risk his maillot.
In fact, Y is the current race leader - and X is a complete fool. So when they arrive at the finish, the race sponsors "cumulate the times" to see Y finish at the top of the podium.
I know that you are likely to be VERY aware of this already. But as I don't think dear Mauro will be able to pull a fantastic result of anyway - and the race has been ridden at ease (look at the time differences...), I don't think it will be a GIANT problem to re-race it. The other way around, we would propably see some UGLY maneuvres... |

What about giving points for the stages which have been run now (except for the final GC), and then rerun it? Everyone would be happy. |

do you honestly think Santambrogio would have hung on, had we not had these problems, because i seriously doubt he would have.
But i do like crue's idea
