Damn it. Only 2 days in pink. Were my riders waiting for Rosseler?
No they were just generally caught out. Ardilla was in the second group but once he got across, your guys didn't do much pacing.
Spend all day working and drop our own leader???
To be fair it was the work of Sella and the Vespa team who dropped your guys.
And everyone - the next report might be a couple of days. I tried playing the next stage just then and it crashed on me in the finale. I also have plans for the next couple of days so may not get a chance to write it up.

really rough start for Wiggle. Hopefully my team can pull it together a bit more on the flatter stages to give Goss a few good stages.

Great reports to read, very entertaining race so far, cant wait for tough mountain stages. I feel sorry for Wiggle, wish them at least some stage win

Thoroughly enjoying this race from an outsider's perspective. Hopefully the action can continue like this throughout!
Also, great job on the reports, Count; they're really engaging and enjoyable.

Oh ok. Would have been a huge mistake to wait for Rosseler when any of them could have become the new pink jersey.

Agree 100%. Nice to see a GT reported in this way, and lots of excitement. Hoping for a crash free week and a nice battle up the Montevergine for the first real pink jersey.

Hmm, all my top riders managed to stay with the peloton, but I'm really hoping for some attacks, there haven't been a single attack from any of my riders...

I demand you cancel all your plans, lock yourself in your room and concentrate only on posting up the rest of the Giro.
Only joking. Thanks for letting us - makes the wait more bearable. |

I'm writing the next stage now and just as a warning - the second half of the stage's photos didn't take.

When I make screenshots for my story I sometimes notice that CTRL+T doesn`t work for some reason.
If there is a short loading time/freeze after pressing, a screenshot is normally done. If there isn`t and you can move the mouse the whole time without a short freeze moment it`s normally failing.
Then you just need to press Alt+tab to go back to the desktop and enter the game again. Normally it`s working then for some screenshots. Rarely however it can happen that you have to do it after every single screenshot. Then you can easily check if there is a new screenshot in the folder. |

I've been using FRAPS for years to take screenshots in various games, including PCM, without any problems at all. They are saved in a much higher quality than the PCM in-game one. I haven't ever had a problem with it until I started reporting the Giro. Just when I need it most
Regardless, I'm changing to the PCM in-game one after this race. I'll keep your advice in mind for sure.

Really looking forward to this stage. Hopefully Diego Ulissi can try something.

Going good . The bad thing is though, that Ricco might not attack first. And my team might not be able to lead the pack, we will see. Those extra bonifications are nice though!

4 stages, 4 leaders. Schleck's turn tomorrow?
He's certainly enjoying the flat so far!

Ricco might keep the jersey until the very end now.
I actually thought Marzano was back in the pack but obviously again lost contact?
Bad stage for VW. Good for them that they don`t need the points here. This might be the problem for Spyker Cars and Devolder...
Also hilarious that Bos is accepted as leader and gets all riders back to help him. Especially Suaza. On the other hand he could be a good bet for 1-2 stage wins in the moutains now as he is no longer a GC danger. Highly time that Bos is falling out of the time limit. Better for him and better for the team. |

Of course...
Bernaudeau crashes just when he would take the Maglia Rosa, and Diego Ulissi crashes just before his Giro starts. Just great.
This season has been all about crashing out of contention.
Luckily Fothen hasn't been down yet, but I can almost sense that it will happen sooner or later.
Feel sorry for the captains who went down. It has really been the theme of the season. The teams who haven't crashed out will get the results.

Oh the irony.
Another great crazy stage for us spectators. Sorry for those who leaders went down, and congrats to my loan buddy dave92 for getting his victory with Goss.
