As ever, Valverde pretty much confirms he dopes by trying to find a legal loophole out of the case - not the actual fact he doped

The international ban will count from the day he stops racing. So, 2012. |

Why is everyone yelling victory this soon? He's suspended IN ITALY.
It's still up to the UCI to make it a worldwide ban

Huge amount of bulls**t.
I think for a 19 year old the pressure must have been really difficult
Yes, I know that, but how can you expect not to be caught with doping? And he is also 19. If Ricco's and Dekker's doping cases were awkward, knowing their age, his doping case is just ridiculous.
In other news, am I the only one not hating Valverde? |

Lots of riders go on without being caught doping. |

Exactly. No more tainted Italian races with such a dope head... oh wait. Shit. I forgot Italy WAS the capital of dope...

UCI has reacted. I stumbled upon this:
"The UCI welcomes the decision of the CAS, which confirms the conclusions the UCI reached after conducting a thorough review of the documents relating to the Puerto case, and of Alejandro Valverde’s involvement in it."
So why is it that UCI hasn't banned him yet? |

Because it should be the national federation that bans the rider riding for them. Not the UCI. The UCI just upholds the ban internationally.
The UCI are taking the Spanish Federation to CAS next week over them not banning Valverde.

And you are fan of Fränk Schleck, also from Operation Puerto?
It's not good news for him... |
