The last day of Aussie Champs was Men Road Race, the most significant and the most popular race of whole weekend. 39 riders form many pro-teams took start and only one of them will wear "bicolore" jersey for whole year. As long as we only have one rider in start-list and he is not sprinter, our tactics was to manage to the breakaway.
Sean leads the breakaway. You could see this on whole first part of the race
Sean Lines, our only hope, founded himself in front group after few tries of escape. The group was consisting of 8 men, with Lines and Hayman in there. Breakaway quickly had gotten three minutes gap and with each kilometer the gap was increasing. With 80 km to go eight escapers had over 6 minutes of advantage.
Baden Cooke leaves th peloton. He dreamed of this championship, but could he get it at last?
It was the time, when sprinters realized, that they have to do something if they want to win the race. Baden Cooke and Allan Davis decided to counter-attack. They took with their selves Darren Lapthorn and started to decrease the gap. With 40 km to go people in escape group began to be afraid of that trio and luckily for Sean, who did a half of all work in that group, every rider started to do his best to save the lead.
The peloton seems to let all the escapers to win, and with only two laps to the finish Mitchell Docker tried to trick everyone on the climb. He made 25 second of advantage but on descent the group almost catch him when Sean Lines made his move. On the last climb of the race he accelerated and passed Skil's rider like he was stagnant!
Sean makes his attack in the right place
On the top he had 35 seconds and on the descent he even increased it! Over one minute on the finish!
You don't have to use photo-finish to decide who've won it!
Great job, Sean! It was our first victory! Thank you!
Two australian girls for one australian champion!

I think it would be cool if people that took part in the race will tell somr words about it, not only like "Wow, I am on podium!"
I mean, like it is in real teams press-releases

That race-plan looks quite good. It would be awesome with a win for Terjesen, the weakest member in the team.

le Tour of Langkawi
It's our first race as the team. Our goal there is to try to win a stage and to place rider in top ten. So, we brought in Malaysia strong team, that includes:
Dinev and Belaschov will be our leaders in the only mountain stage, Adam Smithies will be our main rider on flat stages.
Our lucky guy, Sean Lines will wear 13th number in this race, but he has the best shape, so maybe he will be strongest in mountain finish:
Anyway, First stage has started as always with breakaway. It was windy today, so we tried few times to get someone into first group. Finally, escape group was formed and there was Snoop de Hond, our hope for nothern classics, who desided to start his preparation in sunny and hot (35 degrees) Malaysia.
Snoop was the main animator of the stage, he attacked for every sprint and at the end of the stage he had one first and three second places in the sprints. He was last of the escapers, who stayed in front of the peloton and was catched with just 7 km to finish.
Maybe he was too strong in middle of the race, so he was dropped in final kilometers. The group was deorganized, there were many attacks at last meters and the man who gained his advantages from that was Pierrick Fedrigo, who will wear yellow shirt tomorrow. It was so close sprint, that noone didn't make his winning gesture!
Our sprinter, Smithies, was 7th today. We appreciated his efforts and are hope that he will do better next time!

Second stage was a standart flat stage. There was early breakaway, which was cought with 20 km to stage finish. After that it was sprinters' time. First train was made by Serramenti, but after that Amica Chips team made their move:
Sean Lines, Snoop de Hond and Arkaitz Urdampilleta made perfect work on the front and with few meters to finish our british sprinter was left alone ahead of main rivals.
We watched this picture without breath. Could he win this time?
Sadly, but no. With just two meters to finish line Stefan van Dijk oversprinted our leader and there were some more riders who was better than him today. Adam gained his first top-five finish though.
