De video kon niet afgespeeld worden
So, can anybody post here some important moments of the race, please?
P.S. I don't understand why we (Czech Republic), as country with some successes in cyclo-cross, don't have stream in televison

Hm, Albert beats Stybar narrowly in the sprint, Nys for third... |

Boring race, until the final +-2 laps. Great comeback by Nys. If only he'd have started a lap earlier the might have very well won it. Definatly the smartest today (well, except waiting for too long then).
Stybar did very good as well, trying to get Albert off his bike lap and lap again on the steep hills. Only was Albert strong enough to come back every time. At least he tried again, and Stybar was closer to a big victory then any other race so far this season.
And I think Albert is very very happy he's won it in the end, in a sprint against Stybar. He's proven to himself he can still win if things get a little more difficult. |

Stybar did not do well. Styby was stupid. Waisting his powers lap after lap on that technical part trying to get away, while he knows he can beat Albert in the sprint.
Now he waisted a lot of powers for the sprint and lost. Sorry, but what an tactical fool. Damn. |

I disagree. He managed to tire out Albert so that Albert couldt ride away from him, while it didnt take him too much energy compared to Albert.
It was easy, on top of the middle steep hill holding a bit power back, so that Albert would be stuck behind him.
Then he got a small gap, and then it was up to Albert to close that gap every lap again.
He definatly was much better tactical then Albert today, who was stupid enough to let Stybar do the above mentioned move like 5 laps in a row... |

I agree it would be smart to do that: IF YOU COULD ACTUALLY KEEP IT UP AND GET AWAY.
Stybar can't solo for laps, so all he did was waiste his own powers. So, I disagree. It was the wrong move, he should have counted on his sprint. Albert could not have ridden away today, he wasn't strong enough for that |

i agree with ruben if Stybar was less reckless he would have won the sprint, like he normally should |

Maybe, but I'm not convinced...
At least he tried, and gave us a more exciting cyclo cross to watch. |

I'd rather have him suck wheels for laps, increasing his win odds, and the odds of Nys coming back to give us way more excitement.
One thing though: Albert is getting weaker, or the others are getting stronger. Albert can't ride away easily anymore, logical, because you can only peak for a certain period. The way Albert is going now, he is going to lose at the crucial moments/championships

Yeah. If he's smart, and got good trainers, he's going to take a more easy period and then peak a second ime at the worlds. He's going to need peakform there to beat Stybar. |

that should be the stream for tomorrows cross in Niel, not counting for any cup.
All the big guys are there though. Sadly however, I'll still be at school when it's held... (3 pm belgian time) Lets hope for a boring cross |
