Podium
1) Gianni Moscon
2) Felix Grossschartner
3) Sergei Chernetski
Answer to Bonus Question: Will either Asian team win a stage? is No.
Moscon put his controversies of the season behind him and picked up the win after winning the decisive Stage 4. A not so expected podium for the rest of it with Grosschartner and Chernetski proving stronger than more fancied riders in this race. Neither Bahrain Merida nor UAE could win a stage.
Seven members picked Moscon for the podium while only one each picked Grossschartner and Chernetski. Six members where not convinced by the Asian teams' prowess in winning stages in this race, and they were right!
With his picks of Moscon and Chernetski, and getting the bonus question right, Freitas picks up the win in this race ahead of five predictors who finish tied second.
Here's how the table looks like after the final race and before the first year long questions set is counted:
| Name | Races Entered | Bonuses | Total Points | | AbhishekLFC | 40 | 345 | 1320 | | FreitasPCM | 40 | 260 | 1215 | | purepasd | 39 | 255 | 1190 | | df_Trek | 40 | 225 | 1185 | | Selwink | 38 | 255 | 1115 | | roturn | 40 | 170 | 1075 | | Aquarius97 | 39 | 210 | 1030 | | hillis91 | 40 | 180 | 1025 | | Marcovdw | 40 | 265 | 1000 | | jandal7 | 40 | 160 | 880 | | Agent David | 22 | 105 | 755 | | Raziz | 26 | 145 | 605 | | trekbmc | 20 | 175 | 465 | | Croatia14 | 24 | 140 | 405 | | jensi251 | 13 | 40 | 295 | | United Forever | 7 | 70 | 270 | | emre99 | 6 | | 75 | | aldrofj | 3 | 10 | 30 |
With only Set 1 of Year Long Questions left to evaluate, Abhishek still holds a more than 100 point lead at the top. Freitas pulls away further in 2nd, while the fight for the final podium spot between Purepasd and df_Trek remains heated. Roturn looks to have the 5th position to himself, but it could still change for the mid-table spots.
Stay tuned for the final results and the season awards coming up later today or tomorrow!

Late season banger from me, but looking at how I poorly predicted the year long questions I might struggle to stay on the podium. |

The final update will come on 1st November, as I'm taking October 31st as the cut-off date for transfers and retirements. Any announcements affecting the game made beyond that date will be factored in retroactively.

Thank you to everyone for participating and making this season the most successful one yet for this game. It was great to co-host this game once again. Really appreciate the support of everyone involved to get in their entries before the deadlines for every race.
What can I say, third time was the charm I guess It was great fight for the top spots with a lot of members leading at point or the other. This season definitely saw the most lead changes among all three seasons so far!
Also a big thanks to Jandal for being the ever supportive co-host and helping out whenever I needed it behind the scenes Next year's your year maybe?
Signing off for 2018. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed hosting it...

Thank you Abhishek!! It would have been funnier without squander all the points in WC but was really a good year's game
just 5 points out of the podium is quite a mockery but it will push me to do better next year!

Off year for me in all forms of predicting, this especially Hopefully the lead in the NFL comp and my local football one is a sign of better things to come and a return to my old ways or better!
Thanks a lot to Abhi for the always wonderul job hosting this, and of course on his win! And to all of you for playing, always love the friendly(-to-heated ) competition this provides and hope to see you all back next year!

Thanks for hosting this fun game, Abhi, hope to see another edition of Grand High Wizard for 2019. Really adds more interest to follow the races, along with Velogames.
Second place is a killer standing since somewhere in the season I was way down in the ranks, but I (almost) did a Froome and turned things upside down. Hopefuly next year we can have more members joining in to spice the friendly competition too.
Congratulations. |

Congratulations Abhishek. I'm sure you didn't abuse your hosting knowledge to get you the win. Thank you and jandal for organising this again. Couldn't be back at the top but a former champ will always try to win again next year!

Grand High Wizard will not be returning for a fourth season. 2018 will be it's last running. We felt it's a good time to bring this game to an end with the rise of new games like 21 and Done and Le Duo getting started. Thanks to everyone who played through the three seasons. Signing off!
