You can disable auto-updates in Steam if you want, but you can't downgrade to an older version.
I prefer Steam because my save games are automatically saved to the "Steam Cloud" so I can continue the same savegame on my laptop 
There is also social stuff like chats, achievements and such. I don't know if there is any multiplayer related stuff exclusive to Steam.
One negative aspect is that it seems it won't be unlocked on Steam until 19:00 tomorrow, so I think you can play the digital download(Official homepage I guess) version earlier at midnight. |

I bought mine for 21,17€ but because it's downloaded through steam i can only play tomorrow

Not so sure about that. The option is there, but it doesn't work (for FM anyway, but I think it's the case for all games). You have to change to offline mode to avoid updates, but as soon as you start steam in online mode it will try to update the game and if the update gets started you can't play the game until it's finished. |

That's good. Did quite some work in stats and sponsor editing, so it's good to know that wasn't for nothing 
Also, which (Luxembourgian) sponsor should OUI be?
It's a legendary sponsor, but can't figure out which one(Probably big team in cycling history, but can't figure it out  )

Either way, the patch is already released. My game installed it automatically a couple of hours ago and I'm now playing with game 1.0.1.1 |

I've caved in 
I told myself I wouldn't do this, this year but whatever Another year of PCM, and hopefully some decent online play this year as well. Those can sometimes be the highlights of the year (with PCM), especially in the days of those Skype calls.
If nothing else, Mountains and hills should be fun to play for the first time in a while.

yea im in australia and my email said You have pre-ordered with us and will thus receive your download links and activation key by email from 06/20/2013 06:01 AM British Time. p.s notice how they say FROM meaning anytime after 60.1 am

Well that was the biggest dissapointment ever after finishing a night shift, to come home open my emails and see no download links, now I have to go to bed get up earlier and get downloaded so i dont have to enjure another nights work before playing the game, really eager to play this game

It is if you bought the US version due to the lower price.
But as the German time has already changed another 13h back, I wouldn`t focus on that time that much.
It actually helps me to first finish my learning lessons before I concentrate on it. |
