Variants from 2012 won't work, only if converted I think 
Still, not sure if posted somewhere, but I'd like a .cdb of PCM 2013, doesn't matter whether it's the Real Name one or the one that comes with the game

For some reason my email said: 06/20/2013 06:01 AM British Time.
So I might have to wait a bit longer.
But as I will probably be sleeping and then University until 3h after that time I don`t care really. |

Well I had that too but i guess it's because i bought the US version and i think 6 AM british must be midnight in the USA. I haven't verified though. |

Already started with editing things(Sponsors without a team, Stats) myself, starting from the real-name DB from the download sections.
But will the Real Name DB be compatible with the .cdb of the already brought out patch, or will it use a completely new .cdb, so that my editing is useless?
Maybe someone with the game + patch can answer this?

Databases are independent from patches, I believe. I used the realname database with the first patch. |

Okay, cool, will continue my editing then. It kills a bit of time before its tomorrow and I can play PCM 2013(also, I can't get myself playing with rubbish stats and fake-sponsor names, so it even saves me some time for later on  )

One advantage of the non-steam version is for example that you can play offline with older patches.
This can be an advantage by using the stage editor, when patches delete some functions.
Or also for the game itself. One PCM of the recent years for example was being worse with one patch. So I played it without the newest patch. Something that is not possible with steam if I remember correct. |

It's not like that with non-steam version,as roturn said. So , Steam updates game by itself (you can't decide) , on other side non-steam version (from Official site) is asking you do you want to download latest patch. I think it's like that.
