He is actually a fairly good name in club football many times liked to replace Van der Sar for Utd before De Gea joined. Why is Nani playing, Portugal just disqualify themself with playing him he is avg at best. All he brings is about a 0.1% chace of a long range shot that is all he can do. |

I didn't watch the match, but Mažić is currently one of the best referees in the Europe, so I am more than sure he didn't do anything wrong.
I'll watch the match and post a proper comment, once I find when the replay is available (on TV or for download). All I can say is that you cannot win against Portugal 4-0 just like that, so Germany had to be quite dominant there.

Yeah, not.
Arguable penalty, Laughable expulsion, Obvious penalty not given. I'm portuguese and obviously biased, but that game was a blatant "how to influence a football match for dummies"
That was simply awful.

The first penal was definately correct. The red card was not laughable but just. The second penalty should indeed have been given.
But how people cannot agree with the red card... well... |

They were both grabbing each other, only the referee had no doubts about it...
The red card was ridiculous, Pepe should have seen a yellow card, not red.
Germany would win anyway, though. |

1st penalty was wrong: both players pushing each other, and Gotze just falls without any sort of push, so bad call there. But I can see it as an honest mistake.
The red card was ludicrous. Pepe was definitely wrong in his actions, that's obvious. The thing is, he just didn't hit him with the intent to hurt Muller. It wasn't a headbutt! Yellow card? sure. The red card is way out of line
If you think that was a fair call from the referee I can see you agreeing to send off a player just for shouting names at another one. Too much aggression is just as hurtful to the sport as too much diving.
