Apologies if this has been mentioned, where is Sagan going to?
And what about Rui Costa and Tiago Machado, will they stay in their teams? Thanks.
Juraj is going to Tinkoff-Saxo, I doubt anyone will want to sign his talentless brother.
Costa has extended with Lampre https://www.cyclin...re-merida/ , no idea about Machado though.

I can imagine Roompot sounding very funny to English speakers. Some people might think there's an Amsterdam cannabis coffeeshop sponsoring the team.
It's pronounced 'Rohm-pot', though.
Two others that are linked to the team are Berden de Vries (Jo Piels) and Brian van Goethem (Metec). Two of the stronger riders in the Dutch continental teams. |

The two other riders you mentioned are 99% sure. |

It seems like the future of Cannondale as a WT team is over, they're just bleading empty. This means they'll have to merge or go to PCT (or dissapear altogher, let's hope not).
This means that next year a new WT spot is free. Which team is most likely to take it? IAM, NetApp/Bora? Maybe Cofidis with their new signings? Or the actual creation of Team Alonso? |

Don't think Cannondale will be even able to hold on WT slot even if they want, since they'll miss the points, due to Sagan's departure me thinks?
As weird as it sounds to prefer a team with no confirmed riders, but from the listed ones, Team Alonso seems to be the best bet for World Tour.

It depends. If Team Alonso will start signing riders, then they are surely the best bet. Otherwise I'd go for Cofidis. Nobody else, I think, would want to step up.

Team Alonso?
What is this..just air 2,5 years from now. With Euskaltel he missed best oportunity to get WT team...and spanish team. Perfect for him.
He wont get Contador (best friend), Sagan, Wiggins, Froome, Porte, Kreuziger, Cavendish, Quintana, Valverde, Nibali, Cancellara etc. etc.
To late for all of that..again.
Anyway by..by team Alonso for 2015 season. |

He might not get the best team and been quiet around them since the giro but he could get a decent team to start with if they get the world tour licence (Valverde, Konig, S.Sanchez, Viviani, Betancur,, Boasson Hagen etc) and Caja Rujal is not confirmed for 2015 right so maybe raid them for Spanish riders..

It depends on the fact if there will be at least 19 teams wanting the WT licence.
AFAIK, they don't need any points to hold on WT licence as long as there aren't 18 teams with more points wanting that WT slot. |

Jarlison Pantano (Colombia) will probably ride for Trek next year.

Well, actually I dont know him really...
Yesterday was Vuelta a Colombia stage 10, ITT in MedellÃn, I went there and anybody could talk to them, take pictures, ask them things etc..
Some of them are nicer than others, but in general, I could talk to many riders, took some pics and enjoy inside cycling... I think this is something you can hardly do in WT races... just that...

This news is a little old but still worth a mention. Brendan Canty signed as a stargaire for Drapac https://www.drapac...e-drapac/, just completed the Tour of Utah finishing in 53rd place playing the role of domestique for L.Norris who managed a top 10 overall in the GC. This will be a name you guys will know in a few seasons, only came into cycling from cross country running 2 years ago via my cycling crew in the Hells 500 guys, in his 1st road race he won one of our hardest amateur road races in the A grade Stratford to Dargo Classic (Climbing master class). He then was signed for a small domestic team 'Search2Retain' but even with the lack of climbing races/stages on our local scene he has managed to be signed by our only real Pro Conti outfit in Drapac. He is only 22 years old, weighs nothing and holds many many many local Strava KOM's on real big kid climbs in my part of Australia https://www.strava...es/391026.
Drapac while still holding a Oz licence are looking to base themselves in the U.S next season (Drapac is a property development company) and if anyone has not checked out how this outfit not only goes about cycling but how they treat there riders check them out! They have a great philosophy and help set up riders for a future outside of the sport.
Remember Brendan Canty's name!
