If this is true it changes the transfer market as they would be keeping the Lampre WT licence, if that's the case it would mean that the Bahrain team wouldn't be buying the Lampre licsence and won't be getting the contracted Lampre riders.

That's a weird transfer. I'm guessing they want climbing domestiques so they won't have a repeat of this year's Giro in case Kruijswijk will find himself in that kind of position again.
Or maybe he's Kelderman's replacement

Pretty solid signing from LottoNL. Good to see them strengthening their climbing core. Would really like to see Kruijswijk taking home the Giro next year, with this improved support squad. |

The signing makes sense as Kruijswijk deserves a couple of climbing Dom's after that Giro performance but giving him a 2 year contract was the weird part for me, surely 1 year with a option for another would of made sense.

Well, that's what kind of I meant by weird. VDB is rather old and quite past his prime. Plus, I'm not sure if he really would be willing to ride for Kruijswijk if he will be in a position to fight for his 12th GC place
