1. I got into cycling, in June 2011, before the tour. TRUE
This is an interesting one, my dad got into cycling before me, so I watched what he watched. In 2010 Cadel was in yellow for one day, so as a 10 year old, I decided that Cadel was definitely going to win in 2011. In June I began riding my bike all the time, and it took off from there.
I actually had done quite a bit of other cycling before that, but it wasn't until then that I really got into it.
2. I won a school-wide chess tournament in year 7 (this year) TRUE
It was a 5 game tournament and I won the first 4 against 2 year sevens a year eight and a year nine, the final game the paired me up against a year twelve, who a beat, despite it being a very even game.
4. The first race I ever watched was the 2008 tour de France. TRUE
Yeah, as I said in number 1, my Dad was into cycling a while before me, so I just watched what he watched,
5. I've only ever crashed my bike in a standing position. TRUE
Strange but true, When I originally rode, I had a problem stopping, as I (stupidly), slammed the brakes and then tried to stick my foot out, when I got clip-ins (about 6 years later) I had problems clipping out and kept crashing. I've only come down twice recently though, both in stupid standing positions.
3. I've never been overseas. FALSE
I've been to Fiji, once for two weeks. That is the only time I've been overseas.
