Vos should win this.
Armitstead is my pick for the win. She should get the better of Vos in this sprint, looks like she has played it clever all the way in this winning move. |

If Voss wins I wonder if the headline will be "Armistead beaten by Dutch Nobody"?
Vos cannot win road races for national teams.
Yep, totally true.
I get the feeling that Vos has pulled a Cancellara - brought everyone else to the finish only to be beaten in the sprint.

The break shoud get this. And Germany wihtout a medal again, well done.
Horrible. Plain horrible.
But well, with these small teams, what else but a break making it should be expected?
They should tried to get someone in the breakaway instead of concentrating on a sprint. That didn´t workout for Greipel, so why should it for Teutenberg with an even smaller team?

Great to see Vos taking this one.
Men cycling might be more exciting, but in women's events you don't see a team controlling the race as much as you see it in men's events which makes the race very interesting.

Thought Dutch and the British teams got their tactics spot on today having had the advantage of seeing yesterdays stage.
Was very unfortunate for the American rider to drop off, would have made the finish a bit more spicy as well. I got the feeling the Russian rider resigned herself to bronze quite early on.
Thought both RR's were entertaining races, the disappointment was the lack of time gaps in the viewing. I was actually tacking my own time checks as well as British commentary duo, which was pretty fun when I realised the break was going to make it.
Armstrong I think though will be favourite in the TT, she looked pretty good when she came to the front in the RR.

Both the Olympics men and Olympics women races were by far and away the best races I've seen this year.
Incredible
Smaller teams please is the new cudo for cycling
Also: Vos is a legend. How can you be so powerful? First I thought:
-She has to react to too many attacks, Van Vleuten is barely visible, this looks bad
-Then she was away but putting in most of the work initially. I thought, keep wasting powers like that and she'll sprint to 2nd again
But no... she 'simply' sprinted to the win.
Great

Jealous much ? Is it so wrong to be proud that Vos won ? I mean, we Dutchies aren't very good at every other sport. |

Great victory by Vos today

But even more happy for Armistead in securing Britain's first medal of the games |
