We don't officially vote for a Prime Minister don't the tories get.
Officially we vote for a MP which in turn will lead to a formation of a government.
So to say "The people voted for Cameron" is wrong.
A fact that is widespreadly believed, but not entirely true.
You directly vote for your local MP, yes, but you indirectly vote for the government through their political allegiance.
Yes, but on my ballot paper i didn't see David Cameron's name. Therefore I did not vote for him.
(And I did not vote Tory).

Brown left because Lord Mandelson wanted it. Make no doubts about that.
And now the Dark Lord is leading the Lib-Lab negotiations. Need any more confirmation the Sith Lord Mandelson was behind Brown's resignation.

I know I voted for who I wanted to lead the country not who I wanted to be my MP, whether I regret that decision or not is another matter.

(The guy I voted for seemed like a genuinely nice guy actually, served in Iraq a few years back).

Strangely I have spent the past 3 days researching the candidates and now know a lot more about them than when I voted.

Random fact:
My mobile phone is (as of today) from HTC. My jacket is made by Columbia (Sportswear).
Should perhaps become a fan of HTC - Columbia |

I once had a Tour de France wallpaper on the door to the bedroom. That one stayed up for a couple of hours until my girlfriend saw it and relocated it ... to the trash bin. |

So your girlfriend owns you?
How is that better?
If anything, that's a heck of a lot worse

BBC
We understand Gordon Brown is currently in his office with his wife Sarah, Lord Mandelson, Ed Miliband, Ed Balls, Douglas Alexander, Alastair Campbell and his aide Sue Nye. He has spoken by phone to Tony Blair.
Sounds like a party, I want an invite.

Lib Dem - Conservative coalition to be confirmed soon. Lib-Lab talks were, as expected, a tool used by the Lib Dems in order to wring more concessions.
EDIT: Brown possibly about to resign (he's about to speak), paving way for Cameron
EDIT2: In fact, given those with Brown, I'm going to put my neck out and say resignation is a certainty

Brown officially resigns - off to Buckingham Palace to tell the Queen.
Only a matter of hours until Cameron makes the same journey to ask the Queen to be PM

Highly, highly likely - would be unusual if he continued
