Congrats on he win and getting the top step. Elosegui justifying the investment in him. Also congrats on winning as from the CT, not sure if that has happened before, definitely not since I was involved.
Jorgenson’s Masterclass: A Season for the Ages
Newton Foundation p/b Zwift Wins CT Division Behind Star Rider
It’s hard to put into words just how dominant Matteo Jorgenson was this season — but the numbers come close.
With five GC wins, seven podium finishes, and a staggering 891 points, Jorgenson didn’t just win the CT individual classification — he reshaped the entire division around himself. And in doing so, Jorgenson led Newton Foundation p/b Zwift to the CT Division title in emphatic fashion by nearly 500 points!
Total Control
Jorgenson’s season began not with dominance, but with a warning shot.
At Viana do Castelo, he powered to 3rd overall over punishing cobblestones — a result that immediately signaled his readiness to contend across all terrain.
He took control at the Volta a Catalunya, anchoring Newton’s team time trial victory and holding the race lead with calm precision. Then came the Tour of the Middle East, where he once again took the GC, Green, and U25 jerseys — proof that he didn’t need stage wins to dismantle a race. But not every outing went to plan.
At the Tour of Eritrea, Jorgenson had his only stumble of the year. Caught out on the wrong days and unable to find rhythm on the heat-soaked climbs, he slipped to 23rd overall — his worst result of the season by far. It didn’t derail him. It sharpened him.
What came next was a stretch of near-total dominance. At the Int. Österreich Rundfahrt, he attacked the opening stage to take the win and also won the Green, and Youth jerseys. He backed it up at the Tour of Vancouver, winning two more stages and completing a clean sweep: GC, Green, KoM and Youth.
Even in the high-altitude grind of the Tour d’Andorra, he stayed on the podium, finishing 3rd overall while adding another U25 jersey and being part of the best team. And at the Giro del Trentino, his final race of the CT season, he put an exclamation mark on it all — leading from the front to claim his fifth GC win and four individual stage win, and another youth jersey for good measure.
Cobbles. Climbs. Time trials. Altitude. Recovery. Jorgenson didn’t just handle every challenge the calendar threw at him — he owned them. One stumble in Eritrea only made the rest of his season more undeniable.

The Anchor of a Title-Winning Team
While teammates like Iñigo Elosegui delivered a Grand Tour breakthrough at the Tour of America, and key lieutenants like Vadim Pronskiy, Emilien Viennet, Juan Pedro López, and Bram Welten stepped up across the calendar, it was Jorgenson who served as the team’s cornerstone.
In the mountains, he dictated pace.
In time trials, he set the benchmark.
In GC battles, he never blinked.
It wasn’t just leadership — it was dominance, delivered with precision and poise. And it delivered Mresuperstar's most successful campaign ever in 13 seasons.
Five GC Wins. Seven Podiums. One Unforgettable Season.
Matteo Jorgenson: 2024 CT Individual Champion.
Newton Foundation p/b Zwift: CT Division Winners.
And we’re not done.
Jorgenson still has one more test ahead — the United States National Championships, where he’ll line up in both the time trial and the road race. The course? Decidedly mountainous. The pressure? Exactly the kind he thrives under.
One season-defining run is already complete. Now, he’s chasing one final crown.
What a fantastic season for you! You deserve all the pride in the world after an absolutely dominant campaign. Jorgenson and your entire team seemed to come through clutch at every opportunity and it was a pleasure to watch all year long.
Incredible season but it wasn't much of a surprise with the team you had, just that the level of dominance was immense! I think you have an excellent base for PCT, to possibly even challenge for a Top 10 or better.
After a dream run in 2024 that ended with us winning the Continental Tour division, we’re proud to reveal the next chapter in the team’s journey. With promotion secured, we’ll line up in the PCT division this upcoming season under a new (but familiar) name: Zwift - Newton Foundation.
Zwift returns to the forefront as our primary sponsor, resuming the lead role they held in prior seasons from 2021-23. The Newton Foundation, who stepped up to headline the team last year, remains a crucial partner as secondary sponsor. Their belief in our long-term vision made this continuation possible.
We’re also bringing back our trusted equipment setup for another season. Trek bikes, Bontrager wheels, and Specialized helmets helped carry us through one of the best campaigns in team history, and we’re excited to continue with the same gear providers in 2025.
In a welcome twist, Desigual has rejoined the sponsor family as a minor partner. They were last with us as title sponsor from 2018 to 2020, and their return reflects how far we’ve come. We’re turning heads again after a few tough seasons, and when it comes to standing out, Desigual knows exactly what that takes.
A Perfect 5-for-5
2024 wasn’t just a good season. It was historic.
For the first time since the team was founded in 2012, we hit every single one of our sponsor goals. It was also the first time we completed even one since 2020, so to sweep the board meant something special to everyone in the organization.
Here’s what we accomplished:
We finished in the top five of the overall CT standings, ending the season as champions. We were asked to win eight stages across the year and finished with eleven. Matteo Jorgenson delivered in the biggest moments, taking overall victories at both the Tour of Vancouver and Int. Österreich Rundfahrt, and securing third overall at the Tour d’Andorra to cap off the final objective.

Every rider had a role to play, and the entire team delivered when it mattered most. That kind of consistency is hard to come by, and it’s what made 2024 such a breakthrough. Very proud of what we accomplished this season.
The payoff? We retained all our sponsors, moved Zwift back to the front of the jersey, and welcomed Desigual back into the lineup. That kind of backing gives us a strong foundation as we pedal into a tougher calendar with stiffer competition.
Looking the Part
A new division calls for a refreshed look. The 2025 kit blends Zwift’s orange identity with the clean styling of Newton Foundation and a subtle nod to Desigual’s playful designs of the past. It’s sharp, it’s fast, and we’re proud to wear it.
Here it is, the official Zwift - Newton Foundation jersey for the 2025 season:
Congratulations on a fantastic season. This team promoting with 5/5 goals and your leadership core makes you close to an instant promotion candidate, especially in a field where it's looking lik we're going to have 12 new teams in PCT this year. If you can keep Jaussaume and max him this year via wildcards it's safe to say you already have one of the strongest TTT setups in the division.
Nice jersey design! As others have said, you have a nice base for PCT and should easily be able to stick there (though maybe the talent hunger will be back too ).
