Faiers so far the big surprise of the season for me.
The 2nd big race already and probably more points scored by now than anyone had expected all season.
Nibali with a late post-prime moment, which adds to his palmares nicely. That said, he had some tough years of struggle due to his low acc, so this race here was a nice change for him.
Pinot just like in Tachira not bad but neither as strong as expected. Surely not the most ideal start into the season seeing the amount of mountain stages he already has without a stage win.
Sprint wise a very close race here with Keough being the lucky one in the end to get the point jersey while most sprinters had 1 day off it seems. Unfortunately Krieger had 2 days off after being that consistent before the last 2 sprint stages.
Thanks for the reports and congrats to all those, that feel to have succeeded here.
Faiers' stats lineup incredibly nice with PCM18 so came to no surprise to me to be honest, but can see why it would to other people. Obviously it's very nice to see a massive signing pay off. If only my sprinters would start performing too, I'd be golden for promotion.
Fantastic result for us, second big stage race, and without using any of our top riders we come away with a good amount of points with Keough performing very consistently and getting the jersey. He's having a really solid season so far.
This race was a so-so for Adastra. While we were nowhere near the podium, Pana at least scored a solid Top 10 with Battaglin and Ricco being in the Top 25. Ammanuel also performed decently with some breakaway attempts. Pogi finished in Top 5 of the U25 standings and the team effort was just shy of the podium in the Teams standings.
Overall, there's a lot to be desired from the team, but I'm sure that we'll gain momentum.
4th on GC is disappointing - yet again it is race where Tibo struggles to dominate. Last year he had 1 bad stage and it cost him, and it was the same this year. Too much to do on stage 5 and we come away with just a 2nd place out of all the stages as well. No wins, no days in the break either.
Taking the team classification is some consolidation I suppose
Thanks for all the reports and well done to all the winners
