I am jandal7, and I approve of this stage winner. Congrats Booker

Great stage for Eastman as he is able to overcome his worst discipline and ensure he doesn't lose time to rivals. The team looks to have done a great job, with Squire protecting Eastman all the way to the last sprint where he finally was able to make his own move and getting a nice 4th place.

Very pleased with the agressiveness of my team! Finally signing riders with high FTR seems to work well.

Suaza was a big gamble here with all the hill stages but the race itself might have become very exciting now with him in need of a great mountain chase and early attacks.
Eastman/Yates mainly look better now though although later surely should have gained time today as he is not as strong in the high climbs.
My own team is doing more than decent. Mendes still aggressive and in the KoM lead. Best race of him this season so far. Ockeloen as GC rider being anonymous but around a top20, which is also fine. Maybe a later mountain breakaway would come handy for him.
A stage win surely is aimed here by one of them. |

Disaster, absolute disaster, how on earth can Michael Matthews finish in front of Suaza on this stage. 7 minutes up is too much, but lucklly Atapuma is still fighting for a top 5. Bring on the mountain stages! |

Two huge mountain stages upcoming. Hope they prove more decisive than the 1st mountain tests - big bunches on mountain finishes not really ideal racing.
Hopefully as we move towards the 2nd half of the ToA, WCC get into their stride. Come on Nat, 3+ minutes to make up!

Atapuma performs above expectation and Suaza yet again the opposite. At least we lead the team rankings |

Suaza with the loss of energy after the hill stage it seems. Not that eligible to long stage races.
Ockeloen with the wanted attack. Unfortunately on the wrong and too hard day, so lost more in the end.
Mendes being active again is nice to see but not sure his low mountain stat is worth it to attack too many times and maybe others should attempt it. |

2 great stages for Kulczyk!
First, Eyob with the very first win by a rider from a non-EU member state, and non-European. And he looked great doing it in his Eritrean national jersey
Then, Valls with excellent tenacity and burst to stick with the attackers and then Eastman towards the line. I’m pleased with 3rd, but there is a long way to go in the ToA.
Thanks for the congrats all and for the consistently excellent reports Marco!

Honestly watching this is great and sad, knowing that we 100% have played our part in the 2018 PCT relegation battle is somewhat sad, and if Eastman there might be mathematical chance we finish last I think. Also juts confirmation that Eastman is still scary and that I have to deal with him in CT
Gratz to Eastman and Azteca tho, they have been struggling for good results all year so it is them well owed

Nice to see WCC find a win here, with some of their direct rivals scoring well in the previous days, it was about time they started to contest as well!

Ah well, at least we'll be in the PCT next season to have another go at winning the ToA... |

Getting closer and closer to a stage win. De Boss held onto White way longer than i thought he could with some strong rides. Ivanov testing the legs here and there. Talansky scrapping away for a GC podium, still a ways to go but he's proving to be a real.... Pitbull...

Eastman for the first time in his Azteca career is doing what he should have been doing all along. Now he has his biggest rival since he's been on the team in Rafael Valls (who kicked his ass in CT a couple years ago) chasing him. Will be a good test to see if he is ready to retain leadership of this Azteca team.

There`s the stage I was aiming for.
Quite surprised it was Van Heerden in the end but must hve been one of his rare +5 days with a big boost to his acc stat.
Also didn`t expect the break to lose it. Usually the kind of stage where not a lot of time is gained on the final 20km and a present to the break this way. Luckily for us, it was different today. |

Last year it was only +1 in MON for Eastman, now it's +2
So far, things are looking good for us considering Podium, Ayubowan and Kulczyk could have done much better so far. Still is very unlikely that we'll continue to be ahead of them after the race is over, but it'll be up to Kudus to deliver big time in Maroc if are to get that direct promotion spot

Matthews with tired legs here, slightly disappointing.
Sterobo our big big hope in the TT, excited to see if Atapuma can hold on to his good GC-place and how Suaza will perform. Looking forward! |

Another big stage for Eastman as he uses the time-trial again to his advantage, really putting pressure on others to make things happen now. Still having one last mountain time-trial in his back pocket where he should again add time into his opponents is great.
