We kept the KOM. That was the main mission, and even if the breakaway hadn't made it, we wouldn't have scored anything from Bar, so nothing to say about this stage. Next!

Attack early. Make it hard. Try your best. Don't let a sprint stage be your best stage result.

super frustrated that the break made it to the end on that stage, it was one tailor made for Lo Cicero
Really a lost race for us and won't get better with a mountain and tt stage left |

Good to see Willwohl 4th in the peloton sprint, shame we couldn't chase down the break.
Congrats to jt and thanks to Tamijo for the reports.

Quiet stage for the GC. Congrats jt.
Tomorrow's stage needs to be attacked properly. Let's see how it pans out.

Olivier performing less than half as good as expected. Never was his best race, but at least he should do something as top5 climber here with good hill skills as well. |

Crap. Kratochvila the biggest disappointment, could've made it deep into the top10 today, instead with an epic fail. Great performance by Bostner though, much love to that guy

Certainly better, but what is it about California and crazy gaps? Suddenly game on after that performance from Herklotz. Arndt with a hillarious stage tho, did really not see that coming. Martin up to 5th, hopefully a place he can keep. The rest of the team also pretty good, just lacking that extra per cent from Martin I guess. Hopefully he'll keep his spot after the TT.

Wow, Herklotz destroyed everybody there!
I certainly can't complain about Kwiat, staying with Martin is a special ride and he did keep the leader's jersey even! Though he'll surely lose it in the TT. Rabottini was also a hero today, he's an unreliable guy, but when he's good, he's good. As I said before the race, Herklotz was never going to be beaten, so 2nd is a very big result for us.
And Cio can be very happy now with what looks like 1st and 3rd, gratz on that! And Thanks Tamijo for really high quality reporting, it makes the race!

Still unhappy cio?
Koretzky doing well, while Van der Hugenhaben again shit. Koretzky unfortunately will drop to 20-30 instead of 10th, which could have happened without that bad flat stage where he lost 1’30”... |

Big stage for the Puma, total dominance that is only pity not to have given the lead of the race.
Chiarello also with a very positive performance 6th place ahead of riders like the Reis and Intxausti is always to highlight.
For the last stage Intxausti will be impossible to reach and Kings will be a great threat, as for those who are ahead of us Roche, Koretzky and Poljanski will certainly lose time for Chiarello remains to know if enough so that we can rise in the standings.
A word also for Vilela that leads from here an excellent 2nd place in KoM that helps a lot the team that needs points to be able to dream about the maintenance in the PT

I deeply apologize for my earlier comments!
Silvio I should have never doubted you, my beautiful ray of early morning sunlight shining through the falling leaves, filling me with love and determination for the day...I was so, so wrong.
The way you breezed through the breakaway..the way you crested the mountaintop..the way you encouraged Arndt to show his best..the way you held the gap to the line..a work of art. Pure bliss. A memorial for all fighters out there.
A reminder to everyone lonely and lost, not knowing what went wrong in the past.
Now, Silvio, go out there and fulfill the holy prophecy. Collect all remaining strength and pass the last test. Motivate Nikias to overcome his weaknesses and hold off the chasers, for they are not skilled enough to wrestle the podium place out of his grasp.
(ok honestly, he'll probably finish 6th)

Dont understand how Shikai was so bad. He really should have put a lot of time in a lot of guys ahead of him and atleast moved up into the Top 15. Very disappointing.

Amazing report, Tamijo, thanks for all those details. One place up for Martin, so happy with the TT. A pity to lose out on the podium by 20 seconds, but we should have gained those seconds on the earlier stages.
Congrats to cio. Herklotz delivered in the end, what a month for you!

Olivier did not as good as expected, in especially stage wise. But with Gallopin being rated leader I guess, first wasn't going for it really. Two in late top20 and another in top 30 is at least something and maybe had signed it pre race.
Only stage results missing hurts me as the team is in huge relegation trouble and in need of
1) huge De Bie results all season and
2) great stage results in both TdF and Vuelta and ideally also
3) Boom's still decent stats for TONE with Gallopin also being great there.
And obviously congrats Cio to a great month and thanks for the nice reports, which I unfortunately only followed from mobile but while sitting at the beach. |

I’ll take that... really too bad Koretzky lost that +1’30” on the flat stage. Otherwise he would have landed 6th here. That hurts a bit...

A convincing TT by Silvio to seal the comeback victory plus two more jerseys
Thank you to everyone congratulating, congrats Netia for putting up a great fight that deserved to be rewarded, and thank you so much tamijo for amazing reporting throughout the race.
Arndt on 5 overall is amazing for a race with 30k TTing, he's a gift that keeps on giving.
With that as a foundation, winning the teams classification next to the three individual jerseys rounds off an incredible race and, combined with the Giro and hopefully Liechtenstein as well, puts us beyond my dream position at this point of the season. rip renewals!

That was to be expected, congrats Cio on a big result given two jerseys and Arndt in the top 5 as well!
I expected a lot less before seeing the startlist and as I said before the race, we never expected to beat Herklotz, so 2nd is really awesome! These points also make up for us scoring less than anticipated in TOME and Jelajah, putting us back on track for survival. really nice!
Thanks for the reports Tamijo, really really well written with some nice geographical information to build the atmosphere, made the race!
