Just three answers so far. Could be a very short competition at this rate.

Is it a tight battle between those 3 so far, or fairly spread out? |

It's pretty spread out. There is a clear leader, with the other two quite a way behind. Even after only three answers, it looks kind of like a throw a dart at a map sort of round.

You'll get my answer soon. I've spent hours driving through a certain country in Google Street View, but can't really find the exact location. |

We're up to 10 submissions now. You still have a few hours to send if you're going to. Anyone could still win this, it's wide open.

I didn't necessarily throw a dart at the whole world but I pretty much threw a dart within a certain country at certain point

This round was certainly a challenging one, being very difficult to pinpoint exactly where it was. The obvious clue was the speed limit sign being in km/h, instantly ruling out the US. Not everyone got that far though. Beyond that, there are a bunch of very difficult to spot clues. The Acadian flag on the pole on the left, the French writing on the billboard on the far left and the bilingual sign on the right would have helped a lot if you trained your eyes enough to spot them. Way off in the distance is an official looking crossing which is a pretty significant one. I expected a very wide variety of answers but what did you all answer?
| jseadog1 | Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada | | Bjartne | Landrienne, Quebec, Canada | | AbhishekLFC | Killeen, Texas, USA | | Selwink | Apsley, Ontario, Canada | | Waghlon | Val d'Or, Quebec, Canada | | MARSUPILAMI | Saguenay, Quebec, Canada | | PeterRyder | Calgary, Alberta, Canada | | lakebeach | Armstrong Station, Ontario, Canada | | Marcovdw | Alexander, Manitoba, Canada | | afirm | Timmins, Ontario, Canada | | The Rider | Gatineau, Quebec, Canada | | matt17br | Ottawa, Ontario, Canada | | jihardy | Bunker Hill, Kansas, USA |
Of the 13 submissions, just two fell in to the obvious trap and went with the States. Four people noticed something that placed them in the French speaking part of Canada. The Rider and matt17br were on opposite sides of the Ottawa River and were consequently just one kilometre apart. Nevertheless, everybody was in North America, which is probably a good thing. So, let's find out where he was.
Yes, really. The correct location was Saint Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada. And that thing in the distance is the US border believe it or not. Nobody said New Brunswick (perhaps unsurprisingly) but a few had the province next door, Quebec. Who got closest and took the win?

Not for the first time this week, the win goes to Marsu, who was the only one in Eastern Quebec and ends up under 300 kilometres away. matt17br edges The Rider into third by a single kilometre despite being in Ontario, the next province along. afirm is outside the top five for the first time, almost exactly 1000km away in Eastern Ontario. Despite both being nowhere near the correct answer, lakebeach and jseadog1 unsurprisingly finish together again. At the bottom, the two guys in America still beat the unfortunate PeterRyder, who was over in Calgary in the Rockies.
So, after another new round winner, what has happened to the standings?

Miracles have happened ladies and gents (mostly gents, I'll admit). For the first time in this game's history, lakebeach and jseadog1 have been separated!! Waghlon is the third wheel, knocking the Season 1 runner-up down to 10th. Marsu's win gives him the lead, but by a very small, almost insignificant margin, with Bjartne's consistency once again keeping him up there as it did in Season 1. Marcovdw and The Rider are tied for fourth with the entire mid-table being separated by just 52 points. Luxemburger stays at the bottom after not sending in an answer.
------------
Round 4 will begin either tonight or tomorrow.

There's 100 points between 1st and 12th. You get 100 points for winning. Don't give up yet.
Hopefully, everyone will get their moment to shine. We will be going all over the world in this season.
@Ian Do it. You know you want to.
