Kinney with a solid opening prologue, a high classification might be on hands
What did you expect in that field? |

Nothing tbh, but the fact that he's my best time trialist and will probably bring 0 points this season. I had hopes he could prove me wrong but...

A touch disappointed that Kuboki couldn't manage a higher placing in the prologue, but there's time yet for him to wear the leaders jersey and maybe pull of a stage win. Thanks for the report, roturn.

Pleasantly surprised with Gaimons top 15 finish, who knows, maybe if he survives the cobbles he'll be able to finish high in the GC |

Was the first GC victory for Vontobel last year. So why not let a Swiss newcomer team win again. Sadly a better prologue result for Kuboki would've been important. If the bets for the overall weren't closed, my money would be on Vastaranta.

So one chance at a stage win for Hutarovich and then for the hills we have Bazhkou, Capecchi and Masuda, so I am expecting a good showing on stage 2.

Good win for Manuel!
And very happy with our first result of the season - Kruopis in 3rd. Will be interesting to see if the team will ride for him, or choose to go with a rider better in the hills. And of course, thanks for the report! Looking forward to the rest of the race for sure.

Boaro is a really good buy at this level and a very shrewd investment.

I'm Jay Z, didn't you know?
Then i am Snoop Dog...or Lion, or whatever is the name now.
Nice win for Boaro, with such a minimal diffrences in prologue stat, anyone from top10 could take it with good daily form...

Very disappointing sprint by Favilli, should have finished way higher under normal circumstances. At least the team showed a bit its muscles but at a time when it didn't matter that much.
Good effort by Einsle to come back after the crash, I hope for a BOTD by him though and some lost time could have helped that cause.
Another very well done report roturn, keep 'em coming!

About as I expected. Messed up by betting on Moser for the stage, especially as I've bet on Kruopis to take the GC, would've made sense to also bet on him here...

Nice to see Gil in the break. Hopefully we can have some luck with breaks.
Maybe Der can do something next stage, or at least I hope I get to see his jersey.

Aha! That couldn't have been more perfect. Pretty nice leadout, and all after being disadvantaged due to a puncture. I'm thrilled!
Unlucky for Kuboki, and De Maar up there in the sprint is a little worrying. Good to have the first win out of the way, and looking forward to the following stages! Thanks for the report again, always a joy to read (especially this one!)

No, that wasn't good enough. Didn't make the break, not involved in the sprint (at all!). A crash being the mention of the day, come on guys we need to do better!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Meh, Ratto's hill problems are arising already, should have bought a hill surviving leadout for especially this kind of races/stages where there's an utter lack of pan flat stages. Moser can survive the hills quite well, my problem is definitely his leadout(s). Nice win for Kruopis, had to be expected, but a bit sad that Manuele lost his 1st place already. Vastaranta is looking pretty strong for tomorrow...

He's in a perfect position, he an Langveld definitely looking like they'll be the ones to beat with De Maar lurking in the shadows.

KINNEY!
I didn't know he could sprint that well. Some valuable bonus seconds, top 5 might be possible?
