For a moment there I thought things might actually start to go Gesink's way. Then I came back to reality

Wow, actually that AI really helped me! What a way to get a second place, thank you Cyalogic! Sagan is strong. Velits likely with not a really great day finished in the end nicely in the pack... Amazing!

(Once again, I love how quickly this race is going forward, I could get used to this :-p)
Sella gave me scare on this stage, luckily for me and him it all (except for Schleck) came together again. Now I just hope he will perform better and be more vigilant when the climbing starts. I need a good result from him before the TT where he will loose quite a lot of time compared to the best

Can't guarantee two stages today, but you'll find out at the beginning of the evening. This stage will leave enough time for discussion anyway
Export didn't work for this stage unfortunately, I luckily found the problem and got it working for the final 3 stages again.

Great report Sel!
Schleck did recover well from this moment, where i thought he could crack. Phinney and Velits quite impressive, this is an interesting GC with Wiki just ahead of yet another Schleck show.

Can`t complain about that stage.
Olivier going into the break to help Keizer in the end, who looked closely at Sella/Monsalve to stay with those.
So in the end an acceptable time loss and he could easily climb a few spots in the ITT. Eventually getting the highest VW/Rothaus result.
That said VW will proably still score more points in total due to their duo, if my team is not scoring in the remaining flat stages or podium in the ITT.
I can only complain to see this missed opportunity to score hugely (top5) here if my team of actually pretty good time trialists would have avoided such an awful TTT earlier.
Nice to see those reports coming in that pace. |

Amazing to see such a fast pace of reports coming, amazing job Selwink!
I have to be only happy with results. Velits had a really nice day and losing only to Phinney is no shocker or surprise. He is looking quite good for that 2nd place in Fürth as well, he should be stronger than Schleck, hopefully he will beat him at least for 38 seconds, it should be possible for him to do it.
In addition to that, Sagan and more surprisingly Novak had a decent ride too, these points for 17th and 21st place would be fantastic from both of them, they are even keeping me in the 2nd place in the team competition. Hopefully we will be able to bring in home a strong addition to our 2014 campaign from here, we are looking for at least ~350 points only from here. So maybe my Becherovka boys could even have a chance to climb up in the rankings in the last few races.

There is great detail to these reports - great work Selwink (not that any reporter should feel the pressure for that level of course!).
Enjoyed a really nice stage too, Morobito seals King of the Mountains barring an abandon and all three climbers from the team look set for a decent GC.
At top Phinney really did a number there, but Frank Schleck is doing that brother magic (are we sure Andy didn't do a swap at some point on climb?) The brothers Grimm are driving Vesuvio toward promotion I wonder how SN talks those two into such great all season work

Great work on the reports, Selwink!
As for Gesink, god dammit. I still hope he can go into the top 5 after the time - trial, but that's very unlikely.

That's really strange, the AI is using Goncalves as my team leader rather than Schumacher. I guess that's okay, considering the final TT and the fact that they are on the same time.
Aside from that, I've really enjoyed seeing Morabito all over the breakaways in this one. Good race!

Suddenly it looks like a dominant GC win for Phinney. Impressive stuff, congratulations dave!
Nice to see Stake Laengen get home with the first big group, as it could give him a nice GC placing if he survives the flat stages.
Looking forward to the flat stages, just hope the best sprinters are slightly more tired than Impey after the mountain stage. That's the only thing that could give him a more realistic shot at a stage podium.
Thanks for another nice report! |

Doing really well on the reports Selwin, thanks. Things going fairly well for us at the moment with Dan going OK. Phinney very impressive.

Exhilarating performance by Fothen in the mountain stage. I never expected a top5 to be achievable here.
Brutal stage, with a properly ridden climb, something not often seen in the MG. Phinney has almost secured the overall triumph now, I can't see him losing this one.
Great reports as well, Selwink, thanks a lot

Oooh, do I get to go into a division on my own next year then?
Great mountain stage - both in terms of the AI and the report. I figured Schleck would follow the early moves as that is what the race leaders tends to do, and he fought on well to limit his losses. Phinney is being a bit of a pest - didn't expect him to be so dominant on the Rettenbachferner - but a podium for Schleck is not out of the question, and Suaza is just being brilliant lately - did not expect another Top 10 from him here, but there is now a very good chance of him finishing 10th - overtaking Sella but falling to Keizer.
Nice to have 2 stages in a day, pacing is something I want to work on next season across all races, and it is clearly popular to have more regular reports. Although in this context there's still a bit of work to do for the Worlds, so we don't want September to end too quickly!

A strange sprint that one - where the sprint AI completely collapsed and you got some power guys come to the front.
Of course Ciolek still was there along with Phinney and Sagan being some sort of monster like he is in RL. Been a great race for Becherovka here - which considering I am trying to sneak into the top 5 is a bad thing for me. But well deserved for Roman really. Phinney will surely take points jersey now with that TT which of course he will own on the last day.

Oh Sagan, you are already such a magnificent beast, something like mini-Ponzi! I really did not expect such a great results from him already in this season, but it seems like PCM13 AI really likes him and he is so better rider than I thought. Worth every penny of that 1.8M. And I thought I overpaid for him quite a lot.
And big thanks for an amazing pace of reports, you are doing some hell of a hard work, Selwink!

A bit unfortunate that Impey miscalculated his sprint, but I can't complain. That's what you get once in a while when there's basically no help for him in the final kilometers.
Sagan with a brilliant race, cool to see him grab another stage in a completely different way compared to his first win. |

Just read through the race so far, so some thoughts:
Great reporting as well as pace to the reports, thanks Selwink!
Really dreadful of those chasing Schleck in stage 4 to sit up. Just giving him that much extra time is a blow in the title race.
Storming performance from Phinney, looking like another great race from him.
Overall, Suaza's performance is flying under the radar but another major hit to my title chances.
