Bibby is delivering a great performance here to keep up 12th overall. Nothing to shout home about for Vesuvio though.
The battle for victory is very interesting. Feel like Taaramae will have to do well to stop Spilak pulling away on the next stage, but Spilak has not been helping himself much so far by letting Taaramae attack first.

Really nice stage that one, a really good battke between the GC guys, Spilak I would have expected to destroy the field but he looked a little ragged at times. Still he got the leaders jersey back and should have the confidnce to go again.
Will be interesting to see how he and Taaramae go in the final road stage. Meanwhile LLS does drop down the rankings a bit, but I think he can at least hold onto a top 8 position in the end.
I will betelling the SRB boys to attack in the last road stage, but I guess I may have to wait and see how Coppel's chrono plays against the GC favs on the final day - it has been a very tough hard fought Dauphine so probably Dekker/Gesink/Spilak will beat Copp there.

Well done LLS.
Top10 in the stage and 6th in GC.
Might be caught by Gesink in the ITT but eventually is able to keep ahead of Martin for a 7th.
Nice race so far for me.
Ballan and Nooytens hurt a bit though. |

Holy crap, what a battle that was. What an effort by Spilak to get rid of Rein ultimately, this kinda reminds me of Contador vs Brajkovic at Dauphine ages ago now.
And it's not over yet. Daily form has a big effect in TT's especially, although hard to see Rein loosing from this point.

Brave effort from Taaramäe! If he can secure the overall win in the TT now, it's definitely another big surprise this season. |

What a fantastic effort from Rein! Yes, it looks like he wheel sucked today, but he's been aggressive all race, and he's done exactly what he needs to do and then some!
Now, into the finale, so:
ALLEZ THEO!
No, wait, I mean
ALLEZ REIN!

First Alarcon, now Taaramae. It is really nice to see riders who have previously dominated in PCT, now stepping it up on the PT stage.

Something really seems to be off with Gesink in this race

That is ABSOLUTELY not good enough! How can he lose a mountainstage in a direct duel, having on the yellow jersey, to a rider with 3 less MO and 2 less HI. Shitty performance, which costs him the chance for the overall win. If he performs like this at the Tour we won't even get into the top 5.

Sensational from Taaramae really - I can only repeat as SotD points out Spilak should have won and dominated these last two days. To be fair he and Taaramae have dominated everyone else.
I am pleased to have a full compliment - annoyed that from a fairly nice squad of all rounders not one gets in breakaways here. Guess I have my quota at Suisse. I feel that some teams seem to get in breaks time and time again whereas others very rarely despite having similar riders. It probably evens out but I always get the feeling not!

Too little, too late, Robert. Too little, too late!
Great race for Majka though.
Also, hats off to tsmoha. Reporting two big races at the same time and still able to bring some quality reports to the table.

Damn. What a ITT by LLS. 4th in that field.
And then still miss out by a few seconds. 7th is great of course, but being just a tiny bit behind 5th hurts a bit.
Thrilling report tsmoha with those time split overviews. Thanks a lot for those double race report. |

What a race from Taaramäe! Big congratulations to Crommy, and a big thank you to tsmoha for making great reports of the epic duel between Spilak and Taaramäe all the way. I especially liked the new way of putting up the split times during the final TT.
Super strong result from LLS in the end as well, 7th, only a few seconds from fifth in such a field must be brilliant for Rothaus, should certainly give them a nice boost thinking of ranking points. |

Really great performance by Bibby for 12th. Also nice to see Teklehaimanot, Claerebout and Morton securing Top 30 positions. For Vesuvio the race was a success as soon as Swift got his win. Low scorer here more than made up for by Suisse
Thanks for all the reports tsmoha.

Okay I knew Coppel would be raggedy but behind thatRothaus shyte please
Big result for Boutgues here sows massive seeds of doubt in mind of Spilak and his festina crew.
