Settimana Coppi e Bartali - Stage 2
On todays TTT the goal for Tissot was to not lose too much time for Reichenbach and his GC ambitions.

But despite the teams best efforts the team ended up dead last, losing almost one minute. It's going to be tough for Reichenbach to make up this lost time now...

It's impossible to get a good result in a short TTT. Unless you have like Fabian and Tony Martin on the same team.

Settimana Coppi e Bartali - Stage 3
On todays race there might be the chance for Reichenbach to make up some lost time. Certainly he should take care not to lose even more time today.
The race started quite turbulent. With many attacks from the peloton Astana had to work hard to calm the race down.
Just Hulsmans (VIN) managed to slip by. With just a couple km to the sprint and some time bonification Reichenbach saw his chance and made his move. Two riders managed to follow him, but Reichenbach took the second place in this sprint and 4 seconds off his account.

Shortly after the sprint it's Gross who attacked form the peloton and managed to close the small gap joining Reichenbach.
100 km to go: It's now a group of 5 riders in the front with Gross and Reichenbach. But the peloton is working hard now to get them back. And with such a long way to go they don't spend too much energy to stay up front.
30 km to go: several riders attacked, Astana is still making the pace and slowly wheels them back in. Reichenbach is well placed in the peloton, but it seems he is hesistant to attack again.
28 km to go: Vorganov (KAT) and the current GC leader Fuglsang (AST) attack. It's time for Reichenbach to follow their attack if he wants to stay in this...
But he doesn't. With the long descent ahead he stays in the peloton. Is he too tired already?
16 km to go on the final climb. Reichenbach pushed the tempo. The leaders are not too far ahead.

10 km to go: Reichenbach keeps the pace high. the gap gets smaller with every turn of the pedal.
6 km to go: Reichenbach closes the gap to the first big group by himself. Only Taborre (VIN) and Fuglsang (AST) are still in front.

2.5 km to go: Reichenbach attacks one last time, ripping the group appart and saving himself the 5th place of todays stage.

Settimana Coppi e Bartali - Stage 4
Today it's the mountain stage of this tour. Will Reichenbach perform as good as he did yesterday? If he wants to finish in the top 5 he better does...
At the beginning of todays stage nobody really wanted to do the work in the peloton, so the breakaway didn't have a hard time to create a gap between them and the peloton.
Fumeaux was one of the riders in the breakaway. He might funciton as a relay station for Reichenbach later on? We'll see...
with 80 km to go the breakaway still had a decent lead of over 6 minutes. The peloton didn't seemed too concerned about them as they saved their strenght for the last third of the race...
40 km to go: Wyss (IAM) attacks, and it's Reichenbach who responds! They quickly close the gap to the group with Fumeaux who immedeately protects his leader.

But the peloton is on their heels and deny them a real advance. But with the tempo forcing of Reichenbach and Fumeaux they quickly close the gap to the fornt riders. But with Fuglsang (AST) on his wheel, Tissots work seems not worth it. But it doesn't take too long for the peloton to shatter with this high pace.
20 km to go: Having lost his last helper Reichenbach ssem to be on his own. He's still in a very good position tho, riding alongside Fuglsang (AST)
10 km to the line: The leaders attack, and Reichenbach follows, he's still in a good position so far, keeping up with the best.

7 km to go: Reichenbach dictates the tempo, and they quickly clos the gap to Pantano (COL) who was the only one left from the breakaway. But can he distance some of the top 5 riders still in the group with that tactic?
With just 5 km to go Cunego (LAM) attacks, but with the high pace of Reichenbach he can't get ahead. It's Reichenbach who dictates the race now, but does he have the legs to go all the way?

3 km to go: Reichenbach still looking strong in the lead, the others seem to be barely holding on to him...
2. 5 km to the end: Fuglsang (AST) attacks! Reichenbach with his steady pace is right behind, followed by Chavez (COL), the rest of the pack is watching from the distance.
Final KM: Fuglsang (AST) up front with Reichenbach chasing... Looks like it's going to be another 2nd place for the swiss... Always the bridesmade, never the bride!

But with this great performance Reichenbach takes 3rd place in the GC.

Great result for my new favorite rider, Reichenbach.
He and the team should not worry about the 2'nd place on the stage, as the GC 3'rd place is great! Especially considering the riders he was up against - Fuglsang, Cunego, etc.
(btw. keep it up, very nice reading) |

Settimana Coppi e Bartali - Stage 5
Today it's the Individual Time Trial. For Reichenbach it's all about not losing time in the GC. With some good time trialers in good positions it's going to be a tough job.
Let's skip right to the top 10 in the GC:
First off was Baliani (PPO), who already lost almost a minute on the first intermediate. At the finish line he was just a minute behind the current leader
Firsanov (RUS).
Next up Arredondo (PPO), he was a bit better than hus teammate, and finished with 45 seconds behind.
Number 8 Locatelli lost more than a minute, and couldn't make up any ground today.
Next up was Vorganov (KAT), he had a good intermediate time ,but in the end he also lost just under a minute to Firsanov (RUS), who seemed the man to beat.
Next in the starter box was Cunego (LAM). In the intermediate time he was just a few seconds behind the Russian. In the finish he lost 28 seconds today, wich would end up as 10th final rank of todays Time Trial.
Taborre (VIN) couldn't keep up with the fastest riders today and lost 55 seconds.
Next up was Dennis (GAR). He was fast, taking the new best time one the first intermediate time, and finishing with 30 seconds in front of Firsanov (RUS), winning todays stage, and taking second place in the GC.
Then it was time for Reichenbach. He gave it his all, trying not to lose too much time in the GC, keeping his 3rd place. With a good second half of the stage he lost 1:16, keeping him in a good position for the GC.

Chavez (COL) was up next. He was just 3 seconds faster than Reichenbach, ranking 3rd in the GC.
Fuglsang (AST) was the last rider today, with a good time trial he took todays 4th place, just losing 31 seconds to Dennis (GAR), and keeping the yellow jersey.
Tomorrow will be the final stage where the riders still might try to improve their rank.
