The Race

A BOTD got formed just before the 1st mountain sprint. Here we see Tommy Nankervis (Bissel) passing 1st on the climb, followed by Ramiro Rincon (EPM) and Tobyn Horton (UK Youth). The other 6 escapees are: Luis Romero (Jamis), David Jai Crawford (Qantas), Maksym Averin (Atlas), Kouhei Uchima (Nippo), António Barbio (Ceramica Flaminia) and Tomas Buchacek (Bauknecht).

Averyn take's the intermediate sprint in front of Horton and Buchacek.

Averin take's the last mountain sprint of the race in front of Crawford and Barbio. Mas is the winner of this classification, as he take's the polka dot jersey home.

Back in the pack, Christina Watches with the help of Madison and Qantas, create's a bordure. A gap open's imediatelly and it's not going to be easy to close it.

With 3km's to go, with have Qantas train in the front with Madison trying to be really close to Qantas.

And under the flamme rouge, it's Groenewegen in front. Kemp's and Downing try to close the gap but it's not easy.

And he take's it with style. Great win for the young dutch men. Caldeira 2nd and a fast-finisher Hanson 3rd. Schumacher take's the GC with a draw against Ken Hanson.

Damien is today's team best, at 10th. A good time-trial from him, beating his team-mates Hepburn and Robert's, 11th and 12th respectivelly. Damien lost 23'' to today's surprising winner.
