Dwars Door Vlaanderen
Another tough cobbler with rain and high winds expected. Demoitié as usual is our leader. Big Antoine Leleu is back after his micro-tendinitis too.
Favourites
Sep Vanmarcke, Frédéric Amorison, Mathieu Ladagnous

We initiate the first attacks of the day right from the word go, with Stubbe the aggressor.

With a huge amount of attacks off the front the peloton is travelling really quick, so the break doesn't form until a good 50 km in to the race. A 7 man break gets away allowing the peloton to take a breather, and Tom's in it with Serry (Topsport), Andriato (Farnese-Vini), Serov (Rusvelo), François (Colba), Stamsnijder (Argos) and Thome (Wallonie)

From then on in there is little action until the steepest of the cobbled sections where after some good work from his team-mates Sep Vanmarcke simply rides away from the peloton, joining up to the break and then passing them. He comes off the cobbles and is all alone, with just over 30 km left and a 2 minute gap already!

The last cobbled section of the race comes and goes for Vanmarcke who's going to win comfortably but behind the battle for 2nd heats up as the peloton's split. It's almost a timetrial now, with Europe Tour leader Amorison taking on Cappelle and Roelandts behind him. With a fractured peloton languishing behind.

Vanmarcke wins it, total domination, there's no-one even near him! Demoitié sprints in with a large group in 19th, nearly 10 minutes down!

Result
1) Sep Vanmarcke - Garmin-Sharp - 5h05'02
2) Frédéric Amorison - Lanbouwkrediet - +3'36
3) Andy Cappelle - Accent Jobs - +5'18
4) Jurgen Roelandts - Lotto - s.t.
5) Dominic Klemme - Argos - +7'07
6) Mathieu Ladagnous - FDJ - s.t.
7) Wim de Vocht - Accent Jobs - s.t.
8) Staf Schierlinckx - Accent Jobs - s.t.
9) Lars Ytting Bak - Lotto - s.t.
10) Kevin Hulsmans - Farnese Vini - +8'25
19)Antoine Demoitié - Idemasport-Biowanze - +9'49 |

Haha I know right, must've been all that anger over Paris-Roubaix that he unleashed it here, everyone else might as well not have bothered showing up! |

GP Costa da Azul
A welcome change of weather for the team as we are now in Portugal ready for the Costa da Azul, 4 stages that should all end in bunch sprints. Todays stage has a few tasty climbs before what should be a sprint finish.
Favourites
Stefan Radochla, Zack Dempster, Samuel Caldeira

Boris will be the teams undisputed leader.

The days break didn't form until after the cat 2 climb, in it we have our man Loic Vliegen, the super aggressive Bartl as we saw in South Africa) of LKT, Dvorsky (Whirlpool), Sokoll (Tirol) and Francois (Colba), they never get any more than 4 minutes of a gap.

Dvorsky takes the biggest climb of the day and will be in polka dots tomorrow, while Francois takes both intermediate sprints, ensuring he'll have a high GC placing at the end of the day.

A small victory for Loic as he takes the final climb, a cat 3, but the peloton is in sight.

Unsurprisingly the day is going to end in a sprint and the Portuguese teams are looking to impress, Carmim and Efapel are well in control.

It is the Efapel train which proves to be the strongest though, Boris is well placed 6 back but he's used up a lot of energy getting there.

And Sergio Ribeiro delivers after his team-mates hard work with a super sprint! Boris fades to 15th.

Result
1) Sergio Ribeiro - Efapel - 3h00'32
2) Arran Brown - MTN - s.t.
3) Samuel Caldeira - Carmim-Prio - s.t.
4) Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg - MTN - s.t.
5) Zack Dempster - Endura - s.t.
6) Alexandre Blain - Endura - s.t.
7) Tino Thomel - NSP - s.t.
8) René Obst - NSP - s.t.
9) Sondre Holst Enger - Plussbank BMC - s.t.
10) Bruno Lima - ONDA - s.t.
15) Boris Vallée - Idemasport-Biowanze - s.t.
GC
1) Sergio Ribeiro - Efapel - 3h00'12
2) Arran Brown - MTN - +8
3) Jurgen Francois - Colba - s.t.
4) Samuel Caldeira - Carmim-Prio - +12
5) David Bartl - LKT - +16
19) Boris Vallée - Idemasport-Biowanze - +20
A disappointing day for the team, Boris had to get himself to the front for the sprint, leaving him with little energy for it, a reminder of the quality we lack today, we need some strong men to protect him and get him in the right positions to let him shine! |

GP da Costa Azul
Stage 2
Flat flat flat, another day we will try to get Boris up there.
Favourites
Samuel Caldeira, Sergio Ribeiro, Tino Thomel

This race is never one huge on action, and it follows trend today, so we jump to the sprint finish, where seemingly have learnt lessons from yesterday Jeff Stassen does a super job in bringing Boris to the front for the sprint in 5th position. He has much more energy left to sprint now than he did yesterday!

Ribeiro continues his domination however, taking his 2nd win in as many days. Boris is much improved today though, sprinting to 6th place!

Result
1) Sergio Ribeiro - Efapel - 5h05'51
2) Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg - MTN - s.t.

5) Jurgen Francois - Colba - s.t.

Stage 3
Very much the same as the previous 2 days. Surely a sprint and nothing more.
Favourites
Sergio Ribeiro, Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg, Zack Dempster

After a day with little action there's drama inside the last 10 as race leader Sergio Ribeiro punctures with 10 km left, none of his team-mates drop back to help, surely he's going to lose his yellow jersey.

Without Ribeiro there will be a new stage winner today, and the scrappy sprint sees somewhat of a surprise as Florian Monreal takes the victory! Boris gets blocked in and only manages 15th.

Race leader Ribeiro comes in nearly 4 minutes down, now he has a couple of team-mates but he looks visibly annoyed by the lack of support he's received.

Result
1) Florian Monreal - Eddy Merckx - Indeland - 3h56'06
2) Tino Thomel - NSP - s.t.
3) Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg - s.t.
4) Samuel Caldeira - Carmim-Prio - s.t.

8) Svein Erik Vold - Joker Bianchi - s.t.
9) Nikias Arndt - LKT - s.t.
10) Francisco Manuel Anton - Burgos - s.t.
15) Boris Vallée - Idemasport-Biowanze - s.t.

1) Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg - MTN - 12h02'09

3) Samuel Caldeira - Carmim-Prio - +4
4) Tino Thomel - NSP - +8
5) Arran Brown - MTN - s.t.
1 stage to go and thanks to Ribeiro's untimely puncture it's all to play for! |

GP da Costa Azul
Stage 4
The final day, it has a very lumpy start with a difficult circuit but it's pretty flat on the run in so it'll be a day for the sprinters, there are many riders who can snatch yellow from Van Rensburg.
Favourites
Samuel Caldeira, Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg, Sergio Ribeiro

Another quiet day so we'll jump straight to the sprint, where Boris has been dropped off nicely once again by Jeff, Endura are at the front but their train is looking a bit messy.

Despite the sketchy lead out from his team Alexandre Blain takes a very good win, a solid sprint from Boris sees him take 7th today.

Result
1) Alexandre Blain - Endura - 3h59'21
2) Sergio Ribeiro - Efapel - s.t.
3) Tino Thomel - NSP - s.t.

After a decent few days in Portugal we're back in our homeland for the De Panne Tour, expect some hectic racing, hopefully the weather's as good!
De Panne Tour
Stage 1
We've got us a hilly stage to start us off, Tom Stubbe is here to lead us, but there are some super riders here. Boonen's here, Bennati, Breschel, and a whole host of excellent punchers.

With such strong competition here we know we have to leave our mark on the race somehow, with that in mind Jonathan Boverie tries for the break, and makes it! He's in there with Navardauskas (Garmin), De Vreese (Topsport) and Broco (Caja Rural).

Despite the fact he's the weakest climber in the break Jonathan takes the first categorised climb! (On the 2nd climb he manages 3rd)

The break were given a big advantage today of 7 minutes, but they're slowly pegged back, with 30 km to go Stannard (Sky) puts in a stinging attack, he's followed by Santambrogio (BMC), Charteau (Europcar), Duque (Cofidis) and Baugnies (NetApp). The peloton seem happy to let them get away.

Worried by that move Radioshack crank up the pace reducing the peloton to just 50. But the gap to the break hasn't really come down any further, they still have about 2 minutes and Stannards group is closing in fast.

Boverie again does excellently taking the 3rd categorised climb, while Stannards group approaches.

Behind more attacks come, notably from Bakelants, Breschel and Gatto who also are allowed a gap. 15 km to go the now 10 man break has 2 and a half minutes. It's a shock to us how hectic the whole race is!

The original break is dropped on the final climb, while Bakelants, Breschel and Gatto get across to Stannard and his group, they look good for challenging for the victory. With 1 km to go they still have a small gap, with they hold on?!

Bakelants wins it with a powerful sprint. Tom comes in with the peloton absolutely shattered today has been mental!

Results
1) Jan Bakelants - Radioshack - 4h35'38
2) Anthony Charteau - Europcar - s.t.
3) Matti Breschel - Rabobank - s.t.
4) Joost Posthuma - Radioshack - s.t.
5) Stef Clement - Rabobank - s.t.
6) Leo Duque - Cofidis - s.t.
7) Laurens Ten Dam - Rabobank - s.t.
8) Jurgen Van De Walle - Lotto - +27
9) Francis De Greef - Lotto - s.t.
10) Stijn Devolder - Vacansoleil - s.t.
32) Tom Stubbe - Idemasport-Biowanze - +27
GC
1) Jan Bakelants - Radioshack - 4h35'18
2) Anthony Charteau - Europcar - +8
3) Matti Breschel - Rabobank - +12
4) Joost Posthuma - Radioshack - +20
5) Stef Clement - Rabobank - s.t.
32) Tom Stubbe - Idemasport-Biowanze - +47
Jonathan Boverie's breakaway heroics have earnt him the races first King of the Mountains jersey, we're super happy, he told us "I knew I wasn't the strongest climber in the break, but I'm a clever young rider and managed to outwit them today!"
Here he is on the podium!

De Panne Tour
Stage 2
Today we're back on the flat. Expect the sprinters to really take charge today.
Favourites
Tom Boonen, John Degenkolb, Daniele Bennati

After his exploits yesterday Jonathan is desperate to keep his jersey, attacking from the get go, but he's unable to get away.

Baptiste Planckaert takes enough points during the day to take the KoM jersey from Jonathan. While a very hard days racing sees the peloton split in to approaching the sprint, we have Boris, Tom and Antoine in there but they have nothing left. Tommeke takes the sprint.

Result
1) Tom Boonen - Omega Pharma - Quickstep - 5h04'34
2) Matti Breschel - Rabobank - s.t.
3) Daniele Bennati - Radioshack - s.t.
4) Oscar Gatto - Farnese Vini - s.t.
5) John Degenkolb - Argos - s.t.
6) Elia Favilli - Farnese Vini - s.t.
7) Leo Duque - Cofidis - s.t.
8) Bobbie Traksel - Lanbouwkrediet - s.t.
9) Sebastian Turgot - Europcar - s.t.
10) Kevyn Ista - Accent Jobs - s.t.
GC
1) Matti Breschel - Rabobank - 9h40'12
2) Jan Bakelants - Radioshack - s.t.
3) Anthony Charteau - Europcar - +8
4) Leo Duque - Cofidis - +20
5) Joost Posthuma - Radioshack - s.t.
Stage 3
After a poor day yesterday the team is keen to make up for it. Today is the last chance for KoM points, and Jonathan wants his jersey back badly!

As expected Jonathan attacks very early on and manages to infiltrate the early break, but many people want to be a part of it, so the peloton is chasing hard to keep it from getting out of hand. At the foot of the climb Jonathan goes hard as he can and holds of the peloton to take maximum KoM points!

History repeats itself today as Boonen wins for the second day running!

Result
1) Tom Boonen - Omega Pharma - Quickstep - 2h23'54
2) John Degenkolb - Argos - s.t.
3) Daniele Bennati - Radioshack - s.t.
4) Bobbie Traksel - Lanbouwkrediet - s.t.
5) Matti Breschel - Rabobank - s.t.
6) Kris Boeckemans - Vacansoleil - s.t.
7) Leo Duque - Cofidis - s.t.
8) Matt Hayman - Sky - s.t.
9) Jez Hunt - Sky - s.t.
10) Steven Caethoven - Accent Jobs
GC
1) Matti Breschel - Rabobank - 12h04'06
2) Jan Bakelants - Radioshack - s.t.
3) Tom Boonen - Omega Pharma - Quickstep - +7
4) Anthony Charteau - Europcar - +8
5) Leo Duque - Cofidis - +20
Boverie has taken back the KoM jersey today, and with only a TT to go he's confirmed winner of the mountains classification! |

De Panne Tour
Stage 4
Today we have a 12 km TT which will decide the outcome of the race, we have no good TT riders so a good result would be a miracle!

It is a pan flat TT, with no real obstacles, not unless you include this situated a few hundred metres from the start ramp!

Here's our stand out rider from this weeks race (not hard admittedly). KoM winner Jonathan Boverie. He won't be happy though until he's off the bike, he hates TT's!

Taylor Phinney wins the final stage very comfortably. Here's Jonathan on the final podium, the finest point in his young career so far!

Result
1) Taylor Phinney - BMC - 15'28
2) Joost Posthuma - Radioshack - +13
3) Tom Boonen - Omega Pharma - Quickstep - +17
4) Stijn Devolder - Vacansoleil - +20
5) Lars Ytting Bak - Lotto - +21
