Sorry guys, I have to apologize again for the lack of updates here, but I caught an illness, and I don't feel too good right now. I hope to recover in the weekend though, so I can maybe get a stage out on Sunday/Saturday! |

@Daggen,Ian Butler,sutty - Thanks guys!
An average flat stage follows the tough stages to finish things here in Argentina, the usual suspects like Phinney, Favili and Kump are the ones to really watch out for.
My bet: Favili
As usual, the day started with a breakaway getting away, headlined by two Britons, Russel Downing and Alex Dowsett. This group got off to a huge lead quite soon, the peloton took it really easy behind. The lead of the escapees peaked around 8 minutes at around halfway through the stage.
As the pack lost a bit of control to the break, it was Orica and BMC with the lead. The gap was continously shrinking, and as we got closer to the finish the peloton eventually managed to bring them back. That's where are starting our live coverage!
Right after the catch with around 15 kilometers to go, BMC leads the way for the american Phinney, who is trying to keep his position at the front, as his leadout slowly forms. Two other World Tour teams, Orica and Lampre are also lurking around, riding for Kruopis and Favili respectively.
The leadouts form nicely for the english-speaking teams (BMC and Orica), however the pink italians are having troubles positioning Favili. That's our problem too, as Boivin also chose the Lampre train to follow, but that became a bad decision pretty soon. It seems now that it wasn't that bad, Guillaume is still there upfront! Phinney and Krupis are getting a perfect leadout as the sprint starts, let's see how it goes!
We're now turning into the last kilometer it's Kruopis leading the way, but he starts to fade! Vini Fantini's Andriato is behind him, while and Francesco Lasca are also coming strong!
It's 500m left to go now, the young slovenian Kump is in the leading, followed by Phinney and Seb Chavanel! Can the wonderkind lead it all the way, or maybe Phinney?
It's Kump! Marko Kump takes the stage victory, concluding Tour de San LuÃs! Taylor Phinney gets 2nd, while Seb Chavanel finishes stong as the 3rd. As for us, it was Boivin being the highlight, finishing 8th nicely.
 | 1 | Marko Kump | Team Saxo - Tinkoff | 3h53'34 | | 2 | Taylor Phinney | BMC Racing Team | s.t. | | 3 | Sébastien Chavanel | Team Europcar | s.t. | | 4 | Elia Favilli | Lampre - Merida | s.t. | | 5 | Francesco Lasca | Caja Rural | s.t. | | 6 | Leonardo Duque | Colombia | s.t. | | 7 | Robert Hunter | Garmin - Sharp | s.t. | | 8 | Guillaume Boivin | US Postal Service presented by Berry Floor | s.t. | | 9 | Rafael de Mattos Andriato | Vini Fantini - Selle Italia | s.t. | | 10 | Mattia Gavazzi | Androni Giocattoli - Venezuela | s.t. |
In the GC it's colombian Henao taking the win, being consistent and proven to be the strongest. Vacansoleil duo comes 2nd, Westra and Poels were really the only challengers of Henao.
| 1 | Sergio Henao | US Postal Service presented by Berry Floor | 25h16'18 | | 2 | Lieuwe Westra | Vacansoleil - DCM Pro Cycling Team | + 2'05 | | 3 | Wout Poels | Vacansoleil - DCM Pro Cycling Team | + 2'14 | | 4 | Taylor Phinney | BMC Racing Team | + 2'15 | | 5 | Fabio Duarte | US Postal Service presented by Berry Floor | + 2'44 | | 6 | Mads Christensen | Team Saxo - Tinkoff | + 3'16 | | 7 | Franco Pellizotti | Androni Giocattoli - Venezuela | + 3'24 | | 8 | Danilo Di Luca | Vini Fantini - Selle Italia | + 3'27 | | 9 | Mikhail Ignatiev | Katusha Team | s.t. | | 10 | Elia Favilli | Lampre - Merida | + 3'31 |
| 1 | Taylor Phinney | BMC Racing Team | | 93 | | 2 | Sergio Henao | US Postal Service presented by Berry Floor | | 82 | | 3 | Lieuwe Westra | Vacansoleil - DCM Pro Cycling Team | | 67 |
| 1 | Wout Poels | Vacansoleil - DCM Pro Cycling Team | | 28 | | 2 | Sergio Henao | US Postal Service presented by Berry Floor | | 26 | | 3 | Manuel Cardoso | Caja Rural | | 23 |
Well, it's over. What a success in our first race! Sergio was phenomenal, and the supporting crew was awesome too. Can't really say anything, speechless.
Off to Mallorca! (but first a monthly review) |

@Miguel98 - I guess it's because of his form, which is at about 80 right now, it's good, and we all know that the AI stars are turning on slowly.
@sutty68 - Thanks sutty, we'll try to keep it up, but it won't be easy as we meet bigger names.
Just wanted to let you know, I really appreciate that you're following, thanks for all the support you give me!
The Monthly Review is coming up next. |

Monthly review of January
Santos Tour Down Under
 | 1 | Maxime Monfort | RadioShack - Leopard | | 2 | Baden Cooke | Orica - GreenEdge | | 3 | Iván Gutierrez | Movistar Team |
Tour de San Luis
 | 1 | Sergio Henao | US Postal Service presented by Berry Floor | | 2 | Lieuwe Westra | Vacansoleil - DCM Pro Cycling Team | | 3 | Wout Poels | Vacansoleil - DCM Pro Cycling Team |
We only had one race in this month, which we won, so it was a quite straight-forward thing to go with the one who got us the victory. There cannot be questions, that who had the best month in the team, so it's Sergio Henao! Two stages in the bag from San Luis, the overall win, a faultless month for the colombian. Let's hope he continues that way!
Our races:
| Country | Race | Leader | | Vuelta a Mallorca | Sergio Henao | | Valley of the Sun Stage Race | Guillaume Boivin | | Volta ao Algarve | Sergio Henao | | Tour de Langkawi | Fabio Duarte |
