Thanks guys! After the time trial I had nothing to lose, and was let free for the most part. Kiserlovski was able to drop the few who initially went with him, and rode onwards from there! Bozic wasn't going to be too useful on the climb, so I thought it might be worth trying to get some more points!

Tour de San Luis
Stage 7
A stage expected for the sprinters, although a few lumps might take some of the potence out of many riders legs. It is a rather uphill finish too, so timing is going to be crucial. Bookies are putting it down to a Bozic vs Blythe stage today.

The first BOTD got away, containing 4 riders. It quickly gained time, leaving Saxo on the front with no one else wanting to work just yet. Eventually, BMC and Canondale took over, looking out for Blythe and Viviani.

With 15 km to go, several sprint trains started to form.

But wait! Strgar, Bozic’s lead out, is going backwards! Looks like he shouldn’t have had that chicken last night… Quickly, Bozic jumps onto Koren’s wheel, but Koren isn’t a good sprinter. Bozic is left high and dry on this one, too far back to clinch another top 5.

Congratulations to Viviani though on the win!

Just out of curiosity, how many people are following this story and not posting? It clearly isn't a problem if you are, but I just want to know how many people are taking the time to read this, and more importantly, are enjoying it.
Cheers!

Shame for Bozic, good for Kiserlovski, but he has to hold on for until the end of the year.

Thanks for your replies guys! And yes, Kiserlovski has a long season. It will be interesting to see how he performs over the year. Hopefully he will still be fit enough to support Brakovic at the end.

Just to let you know, lots of people follow stories but very rarely comment, they just enjoy what they read |

Yeah, I know, gathered that from the view count. I was just curious as to how many people are following this. I don't have a problem if this is the only time they post! Even if they don't post here, I'm not too fussed.

Reading it from time to time. There are so many stories running at the moment, that I'll comment when the story lasts a couple of weeks irl.

January
The first month of the year has bought us a large amount of success. We participated in only one race, the Tour de San Luis, where Kiserlovski finished third overall, with one stage win. Bozic also managed to score himself a stage win, and second on the points classification. Bozic hopes that this race was good preparation for the Tour of Qatar approaching fast.

Thanks guys! Dien, I know what you mean. Several stories that I was interested in haven't been updated for a while/are confirmed dead. I was looking forward to some of them too
I've taken up reading stories that are already a few seasons or so in, as opposed to following stories from scratch. I know that I have at least a few days of reading before I have to worry about the author not continuing. I'll try my best not to be like that

If everyone does this, the stories won't last. You have to keep them motivated from the beginning, I reckon |

Yeah Ian, I guess that's true. And I'm frustrated that I can't post about a race that happened 2 seasons ago in same cases... It's all about taking a risk I suppose!

Vuelta a Mallorca
The second race on the calendar, it provides another great opportunity for our guys to start their season up. This race is likely to be decided on the last 2 stages.
There are some big names participating in this race, including Gerrans (Orica), Gilbert (BMC), Greipel (Lotto) and Nibali among plenty of others.
Our start list is:
Kiserlovski
Bozic
Koren
Golcer
Pavlin
Strgar
Stage 1
A nice flat stage for our sprinters. While this stage isn’t hugely important for the GC, a win here would be more than welcome. Today’s stage takes place on a smallish circuit, with some beautiful scenery. It also features no major climbs, and no points available for this competition.
As always, there was a flurry of attacks right from the start. Orica and Lotto chased anything down. Eventually, 3 riders got clear, and were kept at the 3 minute mark a dedicated few from the a-fore mentioned teams.

The pace was on now, as the field stretched and tore. This isn’t even the back of the bunch!

The escapees had no hope today, as the bunch steam rolled straight through them. Sprint trains started to get organized…

We were one of those trains.

We set Bole up perfectly, only one more corner…

Not quite there, but a good result anyway. 4th is a good start to this race!

Michel Kreder takes the win today, and congratulations are in order.

A decent start. You can get better!
Kiserlovski is a big candidate for the podium overall! (if his shape is all right) |
