Well, Australia just edging it at the moment. Should be a close series altogether though.

So Hussey makes 100, Anderson bowls brilliantly with no reward, looks like Australia, are moving into a big lead, oh well, I'm going to bed

Such a shame for England. I was listening last night and practically every other ball was nearly a wicket for Anderson and Broad. Waking up to realise they'd put on a 300 partnership was an unpleasant surprise. |

Yeh, similar situation to me then. Still, I kinda expected it - it was worse on Day 1 to go to sleep with Cook and Pietersen going well, and wake up to hear that Australia were now batting.
And Anderson did get a wicket, the umpire just didnt give it having had a loss of confidence by having a decision proven wrong a couple of overs previously. Makes it all the more annoying, that Hussesy should have been out for ~80, before Australia had overtaken Englands score

That sort of thing doesn't bother me any more, with UDRS we get almost no mistakes so any that do happen I blame on the captain/batsman. Still frustrating that the reviews were wasted earlier.

So Tharanga, a Sri Lankan player, failed a dope test at the world cup. His excuse:
He was given steroids by a faith healer
Any guesses on a potential ban?

T20 World Cup on right now, and how heroic were Afghanistan against India? They gifted India a couple of dropped catches and a few too many wides, but only lost by 23 runs, and with more luck/discipline/experience they can regularly beat test teams in T20s at least. |

And Rick Ponting has now officialy retired, scoring 8 (23) runs in his last innings. It was a shame, he was looking good before he got out too.
