mmm strange they led them go when the sprint was almost there...
Strange breakaway, not a high profile one. Only Roche and... ohhh... Monfort. Some teams are starting to throw the ingredients to the pot. |

Question:
DO you think Sky will put someone in the break, or will they try and protect Uran's White jersey?
I think the Young Rider comp is more exciting than the GC atm. That's probably because the GC riders won't take a risk, but we've seen all the top 5 youngsters having a go over the past few days.
Here are the standings atm:
Standing Rider bib Team Time Gaps
1. URAN Rigoberto 118 SKY PROCYCLING 73h 31' 25"
2. TAARAMAE Rein 151 COFIDIS LE CREDIT EN LIGNE 73h 32' 24" + 00' 59"
3. ROLLAND Pierre 188 TEAM EUROPCAR 73h 33' 52" + 02' 27"
4. JEANNESSON Arnold 134 FDJ 73h 34' 41" + 03' 16"
5. COPPEL Jérôme 211 SAUR-SOJASUN 73h 36' 33" + 05' 08"
6. RUIJGH Rob 208 VACANSOLEIL-DCM 73h 38' 50" + 07' 25"
Who is your pick for today?
I think that Ruijgh and Uran have the best chance for today
in this altitude..Uran has hugh advantage. Still I do not want take nothing away from Taaramäe he has done better then I and Rein himself expected. He will follow Uran today as long as possible...and he is in top form and really motivated. |

Yeah, seems so.
16 now in a breakaway, best placed is N. Roche
Gesink or Kreuziger in? Expect them trying to save this Tour

And Posthuma also from Leopard! 2 riders on the breakaway. that it means that will led other teams to ride the peloton. LIQ, BMC (I doubt it) and SAX will have to make an extra effort. LEO will wait till the end to pull.
Nice to see Hoogerland there. |

Cavendish wants to save energy so the less points it is to sprint for, better for him.

Riis said that they wanted a guy in the breakaway, so that may be the reason |

Good tactics by HTC. They really don't need another points for Cavendish. Rojas didn't gain anything points today, tomorrow it will be same. TT as well. So Cavendish still hasl 35 points on Rojas for Champs Elysees stage. So basically, Cav won it.
And this is not looking really good. Roman again missed the break..

Really smart by Rabobank. Sending their weakest climber in the breakaway. |

It's not strange.
All Cavendish needs to do is mark JJ Rojas - stay close to him and only take points if Rojas takes points. Cav's lead is big enough to allow him to do that.
SO a Breakaway os Fantastic for Cav - all he needs to do now is save his legs and make sure he is within time. |

What do you think is the strategy of leopard. Do they just want to let work the other teams. Or do they plan an early attack from Andy or Fränk. I think they have to risk an early attack. |

Interesting to see two Leopard riders in the break - especially with BMC and Saxo-Sungard missing it. |
