Next year's transfer window i think there should be at least a six hour period for someone to confirm a transfer, before anyone else can bid. I live in the US, and when I PM an offer that gets accepted often times i'm in bed, at around 3-5 in the morning when Euros come on-line, they have an oppurtunity to bid on the rider, like Zaballa or Usov, simply bveacuse i dont live in the same time zone.
I would only tweak a few things. As a Conti Team in year one it was VERY hard to land 20 and only 20 riders. I would remove the 20 rider restriction for season 2. If I can be competitive and spend less to get more than 20 riders, I should have that advantage.
Steals make no sense to me. If I attempt a steal, then anyone can trump me, and the owner can match at 70%- very hard to win one that way (though I did). I think the steal attempt should lock a rider until the owner either matches or passes. Other teams can jump in with a higher bid only if the owner matches. A steal is a a targeted negotiation. By allowing all other teams in to the fray it resembles a simple free agent bidding war.
Since nobody knows me and I have no team to bargin with, the transfers were a mess for me- riders I wanted were offered, bid on and sold before I even saw them (due to the time difference). I would change the transfer rule to allow private sales that are only announced, but to mandate that public auctions have to go a full 24 hours before they are closed- that way we all get a chance to see who is on offer.
Sore subject I know, but we should be able to pull back our last bid if nobody else has bid, or at the very least have 2 pull backs (like we have 2 steals). It is very hard to manage the budget and go after riders while the sharks are out. If I bid on 2 riders and one rider sits unnoticed for almost 2 days and then I get trumped- I have nothing. I could bid on multiple riders to cover my bases, but then the prices of everyone goes up and I have too many riders. It is so frustrating to have all bids out and then see a great rider offered up and not be able to even bid.....
