Aaand win for Australia in womens keirin too. They really just are the best overall in track cycling.
1 gold for GB i think, not really that good. 0 gold in the sprint-competitions, hmm. Lets hope Hoy wins the keirin at the olympics, would be deserved IMO.
For Denmark, well. Better luck next year
Damn im going to miss track cycling :'( winter soon, please! |

I know the British team have this "overall plan" thing. But we are 1 year away. These results have to appear, and overall they just haven't. 2007 was a year before, GB were doing much better.
Some good racing though at these worlds. I have enjoyed them. A different track has thrown up some interesting tactics and different racing. Not always bad.

I guess youre watching BBC wacko? Its not only British results that have gone downhill, but the quality of programme the BBC are providing for it is also worsening.

Whereas Eurosport have had a fantastic track worlds this year.
Ok, they lost Jamie Staff who was a fantastic commentator, but Tony Gibb wasn't too bad and neither is Rob Hayles.
Eurosport decided a studio in London wasn't too great and went to Apeldoorn this year (please go to the TDF ES).
Actually British Eurosport have improved again this year, we had a studio for the MSR, never seen that before.

GB is in big trouble come 2012, they are not going to get close to their medal haul at this rate.
