Wow, I missed quite a few things. Amazing victory for Zabala, great victory for Hammarling, and even more important: Wesley improved!! Wonder what kind if rider he develops in, looks a bit like a Martin type of rider

Race Report
Joe Martin Stage Race Stage 4

An up and down criterium in Fayetteville finishes this race off. It may only be 80kms but don't let that fool you, the pace will be high from the gun and the constant climbing will sap energy from the legs. This could be carnage.
Amazingly, twelve riders were allowed to get away from the peloton early on, including Johansson. With 55 kilometres to go, they had a three minute advantage and they were working well. Brown of Bontrager took a corner too fast and hit the deck which reduced the group to eleven.
But UnitedHealthcare weren't going to let this one go and they were absolutely drilling it on the front. Every lap, more riders were flying out the back door as they couldn't deal with the relentless pace being set. The breakaway had aboutely no chance, despite the high numbers and Johansson and the rest were caught with twenty kilometres to go.
On to the final lap and Stemper (Kenda) had a very small advantage as they headed on to the final climb. Behind, the sprint was really winding up and Oget was bringing Bracco to the front on the right. Jaquin had been a bit boxed in a bit further back but he was doing what he does best, moving from train to train to find the right one. Unfortunately for Luc, today just wasn't his day and he had to start his sprint from too far back.
And Marc De Maar avoided the crazily parked car to take a super win, outsprinting Reihs, Bajadali, Schumacher and Callegarin in a crazy final kilometre. Bracco improved from yesterday to take seventh, with Jaquin recovering well to claim a top ten. Van Niekerk was just behind Luc to confirm his top twenty finish, which he might feel a little disappointed with but the competition was fierce here. Don't forget, Oget also wins the KoM.

Pfff, why is Yoo-suk having a hard time following the group lately?
Anyway, some better results for the team, we're getting there!

For our country it's also a great new, just look at the down-right corner of the front page of the most important news paper of Colombia

pd. You should zoom in to read properly...

The first thing that caught my mind there was Sofia Vergara. Surely I'm not the only one who saw her first?

@aidanvn, he didn't do too badly, 20th in such a hard race is decent.
@cunego, not quite, he finished 9th at Paris-Troyes  |

Race Preview
Rutland - Melton Classic
The next race on the British calendar is arguably the hardest. The Rutland-Melton Cicle Classic in the East Midlands. The race is jokingly known as the "British Paris-Roubaix" and while it's obviously not as difficult as the Hell of the North, it will certainly not be a race for the weak. There are twelve sections of cobbles in total, some of them situated on tough hills over farm roads. It is also, at over 200kms, the longest race on the British calendar. If you can win this, you're a decent rider.
The team is the same as yesterday with Hammarling once again the leader. Both Huigsloot and Gilbert will be key as they also like the cobbles and Jones will be a useful team mate. It will be a very tough day for the rest of the team but pro cycling isn't all fun. They need to learn to cope with these difficult races if they want to make it to the top. |

Race Report
Rutland - Melton Classic
As the race set out on a rare sunny day in the Midlands, the breakaway of six rode alongside the very scenic Rutland Water. Richardson of IG-Sigma Sport was the biggest name in the break, along with Lukasz Bodnar (Bank BGZ) and Young (Bissell). None of the riders carried a threat on this terrain but they managed to pull out an eight minute advantage before the peloton woke up.
And, as you would expect, Endura were doing most of the work on the front of the main group, occasionally joined by An Post and Leopard. Jones, who was meant to be the main helper for the three leaders, crashed as he hit the very first cobblestone of the day and injured himself enough to make the rest of the day a write-off. It would now be a long day for Hoogenboom.
The breakaway was caught just after the final section of pavé and with the pace slowing to a crawl, Gilbert decided to try to repeat what he had done at Le Triptyque with an attack in the last ten kilometres. Unfortunately, he was followed by Eeckhout and Smolen, so the pace instantly shot up and it was over for all three of them. Back in the main group, Huigsloot was keeping Hammarling right up at the front in preparation for the finish.
And as they entered the home of the pork pie, Melton Mowbray, Eeckhout was still slightly up the road but he was already out of gas. Smolen was giving Huigsloot and Hammarling a good leadout, while the other sprinters massed around Johan. With just one and a half kilometres remaining, it looked good for Sky, but could the Brit finish it off like yesterday?
It wasn't to be today, as Ian Wilkinson came from a long way back to take the win for Endura, which is deserved for the amount of work the team did earlier on. Hammarling was the quickest rider at the end but was just pipped into second by Angelo Furlan. The usual podium for Johan! Friedman and Dean Downing completed the top five, with Huigsloot and Gilbert both finishing in the top 25.
