Am I too used to the Cafe Pedro discussion, or does that really mean what I think?

The banana makes it even more confusing
Anyway, great display and gold medal in javelin from Spotakova yesterday. No one came even close on her, she would have won by all her four legit throws.

Wow, the fuck up of the decade goes to London Olympics.
(well, if that wasn't already heptathlete Schwarzkopf being mistaken for her opponent and temporarily stripped of silver)
Hammer throw, German Betty Heidler's fifth attempt is just 5cm short of current gold.
Doesn't get measured correctly or anything stupid, so gets a new attempt instead.
Seriously, you're the Olympics??

Aaaand they give bronze after manually measuring again. No words for that.

Blame the IAAF, not the Olympics
Governing bodies still have the responsability of officiating the sport, all London 2012 do is provide the arena basically.

Yeah, not that I wanted to do 2 hours of research before ranting a bit
Oh, and did anyone notice yet that Google searches of any Olympic athlete gives you their timetable of competitions on top of the search results?
Pretty cool feature I found out about far too late...

Lived in Flint for most of my life
And to celebrate jade's achievement they have painted the main postbox Gold and put her on a First class stamp as well

Wow, I just looked at the medal table and I saw:
Okay, the Netherlands has always been better than Belgium, but THIS is a huge difference... Belgians are already extremely happy with any Olympic final, while our neighbours have 20 medals
But, Rio 2016 will be better! (I've also said this in 2008 about London but yeah ) |

Burry Stander had a bad start, by the end of lap 1 he was 19th, so an amazing ride by him to get back to the lead group!
