This was a nice end to a really entertaining Tour compared to the last few years. I really wish Voeckler had made the podium though. Hopefully this will be the start of a new trend. |

So Schleck managed to lose his Tour. I can see ASO putting even LESS TT kms next year.

It will be interesting to see what he can do next year when Contador and Andy will probably be in better shape for the Tour.
What was wrong with Andy's form this year? Didn't he plan his entire season around this race?
Well if he planned his entire season around this race, he surely f*cked up by not riding/trying out this TT before today...
Well done Cadel, nice stage win in the 1st week, nice 2nd place behind Gilbert and very great TT today! Overall absolutely deserved! (but then again, although I hate the person Andy Schleck, if he had won, it would have been deserved as well!) |

What an absolutely historic day for Australian cycling. I'm not really one for nationalism, but today I'm really proud of a fellow countryman. It is hard to imagine what this could do for the sport in Australia.
Great work Cadel.

Well didn't he recon all the mountain passes? And of course he has seen that time trial before.
It's this easy: He DID plan his whole season around this race because it's the only race he cares about.

Cadel, you legend! The perfect preperation for the tour, but reallt I would have liked to have seen this TT go down to the wire a little bit more, Schleck just didn't have it in hime.

But anyway, I expected this. I hate Cadel, but still he probably deserved this win. Andy and Frank were fighting till the end. I am really proud of them. And in the end, at least big dream come true.. Tomorrow we will see both brothers on the podium!
And please shoot Czech commentators.. The biggest surprise of this TT for them.. Samuel Sanchez. They are total idiots..
The Schlecks fucked up. This is the best opportunity they had in years. Only 1 long time trial, 4 mountain top finishes, a TTT where they have the strongest team.. Contador doing the Giro.
Then half of the other contenders fall away due to falls and injuries...
Not a better opportunity!
AND THEY STILL MANAGE TO LOSE!
They didn't utilise the Pyrenees. Lost stupid time in downhills and had 1 stage where Andy did a good move. That's it. Not good enough.
Next year 2 ITT's again and you can forget about it. |

the problem for andy was he spent so much time worrying about beating contador that he forgot about Cadel. i bet yesterday he was thinking that Alberto can't catch me so i've won, completely forgeting about cadel. if he had any sense he would have attacked yesterday to try to put time in cadel.
all his build up has been about how he is going to beat alberto. well done, he did that, but he's still failed to win the tour and he will continue to do so unless he learns to race without his brother. |

At first I thought Andy simply choked ending up 1:34 down to Cadel at the end of the day. But it was not so much a bad time trial by Andy (decent for him), it was a great ride for Cadel. Evans made it look like Andy had a terrible day, but it was just a great day for Cadel. Congrats to him on a well deserved win! |

He at least won stage 6 of this years Tour, on Mur de Bretagne.
That's stage 4
Stage 6 was Dinan-Lisieux

I was beaten, but it's also worth noting that he's the best rider in the green jersey competition who hasn't failed to make the time cut in any stage. The winner in my eyes.

Yea, it certainly raises awareness for cycling. The more people like him promote the tour and the sport, the less moronic attitudes towards cyclists in this country, which should lead to safer roads and more cyclists!
