I think the route of this years Giro was a fast route, the Giro didn't have the most brutal stages in the Dolomites...I think that's a good reason why it has been a fast Giro

Are you sure it was the fastest Giro ever, the norwegian commentators said Menchov had to do 18something todayPfft

It was 40.1km/h before the stage so yes I think it was the fastest..

What I meant was that there has been few of those stages where there are 4-5 BIG mountains.

This year we had more stages that has been 1-2 medium mountains, and then a short, steep climb to the finish line...Wink

maybe having LPR chasing breakaways every stage has something to do with it
