I have to say this mode is great fun. I started as a Polish stage racer and signed with CCC. I'm struggling very much in the races at the beginning, because I'm riding races where the opposition is really strong (riders like Contador, Nibali, Valverde, Dan Martin and Hesjedal participating) and poor flat really hurts me. I'm also still finding out how training and form works and how to make the best training strategy.
I surprisingly have been nominated as a team leader for Settimana Coppi e Bartali being only 68 MO and poor secondary skills. Of course lost time on 1st stage due to my poor flat. But then I finished hilly stage on 25th which was by far my best performance so far in career. Maybe I would be better with signing for smaller team and riding lesser races with worse opposition. But I enjoy the fact I struggle at the beginning of my career, I think it's realistic.
Now I need to improve my flat before I will train bo gain some climbing again.

Does one get extra xp to complete a grand tour for the first time? I'm asking because I'm thinking about resting my young sprinter instead of letting him suffer in the mountains of the Giro. |

Yeah I get it every time I finish a Grand Tour first time in a season. Seems to reset each year, same goes for every achievement.

New patch looks good overall, but disappointing to lose NCcup races and choosing to be on a dev team.

Aware of that.
(Re)Downloading The V0.7 is a temporary solution though. Not 100% ideal but it will at least make it playable again.

They actually did a good thing, when they made Ncups playable ... but of course they remove the good things. Cyanide in a nutshell. |

Well if it was broke, they had to find a solution obviously.
It is a shame of course, but the rest of the patch looks pretty damn awesome.

Wow, I was so eager to ride some U-23 races in my ongoing "be a pro" career and found out they're no longer there after Steam made me to install the patch automatically.
Big shame. I've completely lost my enthusiasm to continue the ongoing career or start a new one. Perhaps it will get back after some break but now I have completely no clue who I would like to play as now since U-23 races are gone.
Is there a chance NCup races will be back in one of the next patches?

I hope they come back. no idea why Cyanide removes features instead of fixing them.

I reached level 13 at the end of season 1 with my be a pro but didn't get any stronger. Is this abug or is it a cap put into the game to not get to OP?
Edit: No worries, going into the next race fixed it

Is there a place i the database editor where you can make the big races available from the beginning of a be pro career ? ive just download the pcm db and wanted to in a way to continue were i left with the official db. |

hi,
my rider have 20 y.o. and it's his 2nd season. In first (team: CCC Sprandi) he goes on u23 races (i forgot rank). In second season (team: Europcar) in his calendar are u23 races, but he don't go on it. They are simulating. It mayer be because Europcar is in CWT? Why he don't goes on u23 races (For example: Tour de l'Avenir)? |

It is a feature of the 1.2.0.0 patch. U23 races are now being simulated because of calendar issues.

The 1.2U23 and 2.2U23 (eg Ronde de l'Isard, Paris-Roubaix Espoirs) are still playable just as before. It is only the Nations Cup U23 races (eg Tour de l'Avenir) that have been removed.
Despite what it says in the patch description, you can still start a Be A Pro game with one of the U23 teams.
