Sky Development Team - May
Ollfardh
Wow, the training is definitely paying off! (except for Yoo-suk)
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

brewers90
I'm afraid Yoo-Suk is far too busy with his plans to takedown the West to concentrate on his cycling. Pfft

Ollfardh
HOW DID YOU FIND OUT?

Ah well, back to training then Wink
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Jesleyh
Wonder if Wesley improved Wink
The team is getting really good. Some guys will have some nice careers for sure Banana

@Jesley, almost everybody has improved now, including Wesley. Wink You'll get to see his new stats soon.

@SSJ2Luigi, yep, he's waiting for the next British race, Tour of the Reservoir. He will do some non-British races though, don't worry! Smile The problem with having 17 riders and not many races I'm afraid.

mvhoogdalem
Nice result in the USA. Fischer with another top 10.. Probably too lazy to get a win Pfft

@Jakstar, yes I did, sorry. I was following your graphics thread aswell and I kinda agree with what people were saying in there I'm afraid. If you can get the shapes sorted, I might consider it. Smile (no offence intended, it's already way better than I could do!)

@mordekaiser, actually Tim has improved a bit. I accidentally set his training to northern classics at the start of the season, so his COB and STA have gone up.

Race Report
Himmerland Rundt

i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd369/brewers90/Sky%202012/PCM0001_zps3e2b2ac7.jpg
After numerous attackers, including Johansson, were brought back early on, a group of four managed to get away. They were Boskamp, Quaade, Menville and Beneke, and they worked well to pull out a gap of six minutes in the first half of the race.

i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd369/brewers90/Sky%202012/PCM0003_zps952c523e.jpg
As usual, Endura were doing the majority of the work, although they hadn't brought one of their top sprinters here, Bibby being their leader. Optum were again chipping in with some of the work despite not having a top sprinter. The gap came down to two minutes before two riders tried to attack across to the front group. They were McNally and Kamp but neither made it across and all six escapees were back in the pack with twenty kilometres to go.

i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd369/brewers90/Sky%202012/PCM0004_zpsd46cd7db.jpg
Then, Franzoi went on the attack for Miche, hoping his power on the flat could keep him ahead of the sprinters. Gilbert and Ennekens tried to follow but they couldn't escape the attentions of the fast-moving peloton, which now had NSP, Endura and Christina Watches all near the front. Franzoi built up a lead of forty seconds but he didn't have the legs for it and was caught with five kilometres to go.

i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd369/brewers90/Sky%202012/PCM0005_zps4368d24b.jpg
As we approached the final kilometre, Sky had timed their leadout to perfection and Fischer hit the front with Hammarling on his wheel. Incredibly, Johan was struggling just to stay with his team mate, who had some sensational form today. Right behind them were Obst, Richeze, Rowsell and Van Niekerk, who had finished his work for the day with a great leadout. Could Hammarling finish off the team's work?

i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd369/brewers90/Sky%202012/PCM0006_zpscddc2fa9.jpg
Unfortunately, not quite, as Obst and Richeze are much quicker sprinters and held off Johan, who was closing on them in the final hundred metres but the line came too quickly. Third again for the prolific Hammarling. Lander was the top Dane in fourth, ahead of Bennett, Rowsell and Bibby, with Fischer holding on for eighth. Another great team ride.

Well, we've had a great month and we've shot up the rankings. I think we're 9th in the Conti rankings which is amazing really. Obviously, we're miles down on CQ because we're not doing any big races but that doesn't really matter because we're not trying to get promoted!
