If it was like last year Westra would still easily pass Porte on Col d'Eze.
Last season Westra +2sec on Wiggo
Porte on 1.44, even tho he had no ambitions anymore. Still Westra had over 30 seconds on the rest of the field, still hopeful

He dropped just before Gesink, so he must have lost about the same time. I have no exact informations though. |

He was dropped around the same time as Gesink, who ended up around 4 minutes back. Gesink came in with another Blanco rider, couldn't tell who it was though. |

Maybe he helped Gesink before he dropped, or caught up with Gesink later, and could be faster, but Gesink was empty and he had to stay with him?
I can't judge though, haven't seen it

He was cracked before Gesink. There you go. He had completely cracked. Sorry.

Yeah, he probably thought "Gesink will get dropped in a few moments, I better drop myself to catch him." |

Gesink was not dropped, he was just coming from far back.

Impressive win from Porte, he was a great domestique last year, but i hope he gets his own chances this year (and not just when Wiggins cancels)
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Gesink is out of form and this was just as expected , just ask Ruben. |

You might be right cunego59 confirmes they finished together, but is there really a point to staying together when you're 4 minutes back in a 1 week stage race? |
