About the jersey, I completely agree with mvhoogdalem here. It might be boring for some of you but the development team wouldn't have a completely different jersey from the main team because it would go completely against brand recognition! Look at Rabo (last year obviously!). Everyone knows Rabobank is orange and blue, so why change it for the development team.
I might look into getting a new design at the end of the year if we get there.
What I meant is switching the secondary color with the primary color (just like Rabobank & Rabobank Cyclocross)
that could work. What do you think Brewers

Well, I can't make jerseys for toffee, so if you or somebody else wants to give it a try and send it to me, I'll have a look.
No guarantees though. |

Race Preview
Tour of the Battenkill
The team makes the long haul flight to the USA for the team's first ever race in North America. The race is another tricky one, despite the flat classification, as the route is very lumpy. With all the climbing and, indeed, a very tricky final few kilometeres, the race will probably be won by a sprinter that can deal with the hills but a late attack could also be dangerous.
Our team here, as usual, has no out and out leader, because the race could have multiple outcomes. Oget will hope to perform well in the US and will certainly be given freedom to try something if he feels good on the day. Fischer will hope to be up there on the final few climbs and follow attacks should he be good enough to do so. If it comes down to a sprint, both Jaquin and Bracco will see what they can do. |

Race Report
Tour of the Battenkill
The day's breakaway consisted of just four riders, three of whom were very average riders. However, the fourth, Dombrowski was certainly a threat if he was given too much of a gap. The very talented American was in a tough position where he was by far the best climber in the group, but he couldn't drop the others because he needed their help on the flat.
As it happened, there was nothing to be worried about because the breakaway was going so slowly, it was easy to control for Endura, who only needed two riders, Blain and Dempster to pull them back. As usual, the British outfit had brought a strong team with both Downing and McEvoy hoping for strong results. The escapees were all caught with twenty kilometres to go as the tough final section began.
With ten kilometres to go, Oget decided to give it a go and left the peloton behind. Nobody went with him and he gave it everything on the final ascent. Unfortunately, An Post were now well in control and with Endura also up at the front, Maxime didn't stand a chance but it was a good attack at a great time and he certainly got some good coverage.
As Oget was caught, Downing went for it, which was very surprising, considering he is of course a sprinter. An Post were still on the front though with a superb leadout for Bagdonas and as they hit the final rise to the finish, they had the Brit in sight. On the left was Jones trying to keep Jaquin and Fischer at the front for the finish. The Frenchman was definitely struggling with the pace but Fischer was still looking good.
And Bagdonas finished off his team's work, just seeing off McEvoy in the final sprint. Downing just held on for third ahead of another Brit, McNally with Kocjan taking fifth. Fischer just didn't quite have the sprint speed to challenge but a great ride saw him take tenth, with Jaquin and Bracco also in the top twenty and Oget and Jones just outside. Not a bad race for the team but we will hope for better in our next American race.

Race Preview
Himmerland Rundt
Another new country for the team to race in, this time it's Denmark. Our Scandinavian debut is the pan flat sprinter's classic, Himmerland Rundt. The race is just under 200km and is 99.9% certain to end in a bunch sprint but if the weather is bad and the wind gets up, the race could completely change.
Alex Fischer will be racing on home soil today but this isn't his sort of race. This is also the closest to home that Johansson will be racing this season. The team's leader will be the ever improving Hammarling, who will hope to have good legs to compete in the sprint. Gilbert will hope for some poor weather conditions to play into his hands, whilst the rest of the team are here purely for fitness and to see what they can do. |
