Dumoulin is rider with big heart. He saved a day. Was cought..then he recovered and did go again. Great fighter. Ofcorse he will be cracked soon..but so far it has been amazing show. I like that Giant team
Spaniards should unite forces against froome..attack/slow/attack/slow is not working. Constant hard pace when he is dropped. Other way he will crawl back.
Problem is he will be stronger and stronger after every day.
I still dont now who will be best when mountains come..Froome is one who will be there for sure. Mad Vuelta so far.
Stage 11 is going to be crucial to drop Froome. Hard pace all day would kill him. But I'm afraid that won't happen.
Hard pace all day could kill everyone else too though.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Thrilling stage today - just watched highlights.
There are lowlights too. The stupid UCI inconsistency over the way they have handled Nibali, Sagan etc. Stupid crashes including really scary one for Boeckmans hope this guy is okay.
But todays final climb was amazing stuff.
Smily Chaves cracks. You always suspected young guy might and he did go boom completely. Froome yo-yos and goes bang at pointy end. Purito silently moves up GC. Aru looks good but not really super. Movistar duo not at their best but grind.
Dumoilin underlines that power climbing is possible outside of Sky.

I have never seen such an eye-brow-raising performance as Dumolains today. The epo jaw is definately empty, combined with a blood bag and some delicious CERA topped with a bit of AICAR. Fantastic entertaining stage, froomes yo-yo style is always fun, Dumolains attacks wild, and hes finaly sprint was out of the World. However that performance smells he just outclimbed all the best in the world (Tour or not he still did it)
Ps. He looked like Armstrong aestetics wise.

Fun stage and great action but this is such a huge problem. The UCI is just a disgrace to the sport they supposedly govern. |

The Vuelta is, as always, very entertaining. Dumoulin's comeback against Froome was epic, and even though a couple of GC riders were dropped, the time differences were quite small. |

Didn't he get mixed up in a crash? Anyway I don't think he really cares all that much if he's meant to be working for Aru, he has his big contract for next season so why go to deep.

There is always the slightest bit of truth in any joke. I do actually think that this Dumolain performance was a bit too good to be true for me, look at the guys he outclimbed and how He did it. But it was absolutely fantastic and entertaining. |

I can understand how some might be surprised but there are plenty of reasons why Dumoulin did what he did yesterday. 1. It's the Vuelta and every year riders who are in good condition or fresh can pick up stage wins as a good portion of the field is fatigued or just making up the numbers. 2. We haven't had a mountain stage yet, that climb was short and quick and not as steep as the unipublic profile suggested plus GC guys are keeping a lid on it until stage 11. 3. Dumoulin has shown that he can do well on this type of climb and he obviously went full gas to bag the stage and grab the leaders Jersey, we have seen plenty of riders do this type of thing before. Now I'm not saying he is a clean rider but there is nothing that he has done so far in this race that is surprising, now if we go deep into the second/third week and he is riding high in the GC then that would be rediculous. Like during the Tour and the forum was going nuts about Thomas saying he would podium but he was always going to crack when the pressure really went on in the 3rd week

Strange Vuelta so far, but enjoyable, bar that stupid motorbike crash into Sagan. And he is even fined, lol.
I am still waiting so see a proper mountain stage this year, so far it was only hills, so looking forward to Wednesday. All is most likely set up for Froome-Quintana-Aru battle.

Sad to see Chaves lose time yesterday. Hopefully he can fight back over the next week.
Degenkolb the favourite today if he can get over the final climb.

I was checking weather forecast and todays stage might even get cancelled.
Tornado warning and large hail for that part of Spain. it's unclear when the storm arrives but its forecasted for today.
