A German athlethe was tested positive in Sochi, no information who and what he or she took.
Sochi are great Olympic games for the DOSB (German Olympic Sports Association) because they are absolutely blind or (probably and?) stupid. They wanted the athletes to get at least 30! medals.
Absolutely bonkers as our best biathletes (men and women) are retired, Bob not as good as it used to be etc. only Luge was really good but when you have 4 tracks and probably the highest budget from all countries together in Luge then it's almost like Speed Skating in the Netherlands.
EDIT: The positive was from the DSV (German Ski Association) so almost secure it was either cross-country or biathlon.

Now it is known thats Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle, former cross country athlete - she switched to biathlon.
Interesting is that yesterday around 17 it was announced that she won't do the team race because "she had already the most races and she had problems to concentrate at the mixed event" yeah thats right because when she was the best woman biathlete for Germany you just won't take her for the women team race
EDIT: There are some informations of the DW (Deutsche Welle) that there were 3 positives, if they are all from her man she must be really stupid.
Also really funny is that those facebook critics said Germany is tumbling because of the very harsh and good NADA

There used to be a time when I watched all german races on german TV, and they had this habit of showing the last 3/4 hours or the whole race instead of just the last hour.
That was fantastic. Especially the traditional Heniger turm and rund um koln races... |

True. There were lots of fantastic boradcasts...Since 2006 it`s Eurosport only and I am happy that they show more and more every year.
But it`s a pity about all those great classics or smaller German races. |

I doubt that. Even if you cannot prove it, it does not mean they are not doped...
I believe that all biathlons athletes are doped (except of course the ones from my country). |
