The Contador ruling makes it clear that doping infractions should not be judged by national federations.
also
UCI Cycling Regulations, section 2, § 5, 1.2.049: entrants + 2 reserves must be faxed 72h before the event.
Surely Contador wasn't entered while still suspended

Well, the rules also state that you're not allowed to have any amount of clenbuterol in your body. Contador did, yet he's allowed to ride.
Riis says that he expects Contador to take part in tomorrow's Algarve. |

Riis says that he expects Contador to take part in tomorrow's Algarve. And despicable Algarve directors were very much looking forward to having him in their race.
If race organisers don't help, cycling is never going to solve its problems. |

Is this final? Is there no way he will get banned now? That's unbelieveable. It seems like the national federation's power in these cases are too big. They should have no power at all when it comes to "global" cases. At least that's my opinion. |

Of course there is still a way. UCI/WADA etc. can claim against it during 1 month. |

Or that the case is appealed to CAS, and that CAS works slightly faster than what we're used to - which is quite unlikely, seeing how strong Contador's legal team apparently is. |

or we can hope he falls of a cliff, RIP to cycling, now we know you cheat to win the TDF, make up a sob story and getaway with it. What is this world coming too, if I was Valverde, Basso, Vino, the list in endless of the riders who have been banned in the past I would be fuming.

Actually if I was Basso, Valverde, Vino etc. I would just go and get Conta's lawyers/legal team.
Edit: But if I was Fuyu Li (appologies if thats backwords) I would be outraged.

I really, really don't get it. How Contador can be cleared of any doping? I have nothing to add.. I only hope WADA will take this case to CAS and they'll take the decision, fair decision..

I wouldn't.
As far as I remember, he received a provisional 2-year-ban. When Contador's case appeared, Chinese authorities said that they'd wait for Contador before making a final verdict.
I can only suppose that Li is free too. |
