Mezgec just got robbed of the easiest stage win in his career...
How was he robbed? He went into the last turn too fast and messed up and almost crashed from what i could see and lost the wheel of Veelers. |

Carnage! Hopefully those who went down are ok. The glimpse we got of the big Cannondale crash looked like the worst.
Mezgec quite unlucky at the end, but great comeback from Bouhanni

I honestly dno what some ppl in here are thinking. Wet roads in southern Italy on laps?
Some of us do not know those roads remember
Then why did you say:

Yeah I can understand that but it's stage racing and its meant to be mixed conditions, this has not been dangerous

Wow look at Mathews looks like he just finished Roubaix.
Great win for Bouhanni, great job by his teammates bringing him back.
That finish was a complete mayhem. |

Some mechanical issue forced him to stop pedalling right after the last corner, Veelers was his leadout and just took what was left, but of course he had no energy to match Bouhanni. Mezgec probably would've easily kept him off.

Cheers. That rounds off a great day for cycling in both the real and fantasy world... |

Here is some cruel irony for the riders. They spent all that time riding the dried roads neutralised and then on the final lap it actually started getting slippery again thanks to a fresh rain shower.

Riders were given the same time at the final lap assuming they finished, no GC favorites involved |

Procyclingstats says that around 30 riders still lost time today. Did they drop too early or so?
Scarponi(30 secs), Aru(30 secs), Dan Moreno(50 secs) and Anton(30 secs) are some of the guys that are involved.
