Perfectly timed attack from Gadret and a deserved stage win for him.
However, the most interesting thing that I saw was that Scarponi was really weak in the sprint and couldn't follow the first seven riders in the sprint. He should be happy that he was given the same time as Gadret, as there was a gap between him and the riders in front of him.

Finally a deserved win for Gadret. Le Mevel took a risk by entering the break today, hope he doesn't fall down in the next mountain stage. And Moreno and Kruijswijk too. |

Great for Gadret he really deserved a stage win, too bad for Le Mevel but at least it was good to see him triyng unlike most of well placed riders in the GC, he really wanted to try and get the pink even though he had a risk to loose a few places.
And still no breakaway wins
Edit : And yes it looks like Pirazzi will attack in the final kms every day

Pretty sure that the last 3 km rule doesn't apply to stages that end on a hill or mountain. |

The took away the "3 km rule" on today's stage, because it was an uphill finish. It was announced on a press conference yesterday. A shame for Kiriyenka though. |

I challenge him to do so this weekend. Anyone with the legs to do so can attack from a grupetto. |

Kiserlovski crashed at the begining of the stage and broke his tooth/teeth. He is having a extremely unlucky season, already riding the giro with a cracked vertebra. He visited the dentist, and will continue riding the Giro in suport of Kreuziger.

I remember him under the van in Paris Nice..
But still he has great..great potential. I would spend a lot a money to have him on my team. |

The Crostis is great!
First you have to climb a 10% average climb. Then 8km of flat, on unpaved roads
Then a descent on paved roads, but very narrow and with safety nets at the siide...
And then, when you are finally back down, you get the Zoncolan as an added bonus

I was going to miss it because of a race of my own. But since I crashed a few days ago I have to take a few days easy the doctor says.
Dissapointed that I loose my race, but I will get som sweet Giro action instead
