Dauphine Libere 2009
The second half of the race is where the screenshots stop. The game crashed before the replay each time. However, I achieved next to nothing so I wouldn't worry. I'll just post the results with the race profile. I watercarried all week and came in the last group everyday bar stage 7, where I finished in the penultimate group.
Stage 5

Stage 6

Stage 7

Stage 8

So Cadel takes the win with Lance in 2nd and Menchov in 3rd. Is that how the Tour will finish. I doubt as the favourites are at the Tour de Suisse.
National's up next.

The lack of comments give the impression that there is a distinct lack of interest in this story(I'm sure it's a conspiracy ). Does anyone care or should I end it after this season?

A story isn't for the amusement of others, it's for the pondering of one's self motivation.

British Individual Time Trial Championships 2009
I am riding here as a warmup to the road race. The course is a very nice one and quite testing but, unfortunately, I am no time triallist so I have no hope of winning.

We all knew that a Garmin rider would win but which one?

It's David Millar!
I finished 13th which would be good if it weren't for the fact that only 16 started.

All that's left before the Tour is the road race. I would love to ride my first Tour in the red white and blue bands.

British National Road Race Championships
They're back in Wales where I took my 2 previous National Championships victories. Winning here would be huge for me because I could wear the national jersey in my first Tour de France. The cream of the continental Brits are here but there are no teams capable of controlling it. Therefore I will try to get in the break as Cav would destroy everyone in the sprint.
The course is rolling but far from demanding. Very good for me.

I attacked on the first small rise of the day, expecting riders to come with me. Nobody did, so I hovered out front in the hope that someone would bridge across to me. Nobody did, so I went solo.
Although I'm no time triallist I'm quite good at riding alone in a road race. I kept a good rhythm and knew that, even if I didn't win, my manager would be pleased at the coverage I was getting because this was on Eurosport UK.

Nobody would chase behind as it would jeapordize their chances of victory. I rode on and rode to victory and the National Jersey!
I celebrated ecstatically all the way to the line in Abergavenny.

The second group was all together but many didn't bother to sprint, including Mr. Cavendish.

I pulled on the jersey for the 3rd time on that podium. What a perfect appetiser for the Tour.

Sorry guys but first 2 stages were accidentally played on normal as i'm playing another career atthe moment.
So with that in mind here goes.

The 2009 Tour de France kicks off in Monaco with a hilly 15km TT.

Our team leader for the race is Vladimir Efimkin who aims for a top 10. Aurelien Clerc is our sprinter with the rest of us as support or breakaway riders. I will be a leadout man to Aurelien if he wants or I will carry bottles and ride as reserve sprinter.

I was an early starter in a race I had no hope of winning. I was still concentrated on the startline, about to roll down the ramp in my first Tour de France!

I came in 87th, a very good ride from my point of view. I was the first Briton to finish so I got a TV interview with ITV, which pleased the management no end.
Favourite for the race was the Swissassin, Fabian Cancellara, who did not dissapoint, climbing well and descending ferociously to take a seemingly unnassailable lead.

Carlos Sastre may be the defending champion, but he is far from the favourite for today or the overall. He finished way down.

Cadel's Dauphine victory makes him one of the favourites for the GC. He came in 2nd, 15 seconds behind Cancellara, which bodes well for his yellow jersey challenge.

Saxo Bank's main challengers overall are the Schleck brothers. However, time trialling is not their forte and they looked a bit lost on the open road.

Vlad was our best finisher in 4th, just behind Contador, a truly phenomenal result for him and a great indicator for his GC hopes.

We go to the sprints tomorrow and I get a chance to show off my national champions jersey.
