Ooh, going to be close. Farantakis took 2 second off Kennett over 4.5km
Kennett has a 2 second lead but its over 7.8km...

This is the expected Kalaba absence, ideally would need to have taken bonus seconds here as well, now it will be difficult against the likes of Kennett and Farantakis.
All balls on Bjerg then to smash it in the final kilometers.

If I had a gun with two bullets and I was in a room with Hitler, Bin Laden, and Bonifazio, I would shoot Bonifazio twice.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Makes sense. The others have been dead for years…

I wonder if the last TT is short enough for Farantakis to fight for the overall top 5, or if the TT’ers Will smash it.
I think it's going to be close. Exciting finale

Oh wow - I did NOT expect the prologue stat to be that important on the epilogue here. I would have expected most of the top sprinters here to drop quite a long way - most of them outside the top 10. Farantakis with a solid combination of 75 AVR in the TT/PRL stat was a decent fit, but I still would have expected the 78-79-80 AVR guys to put more time into him. I guess the PRL stat was way more important than I expected.
A win here was always in the cards, especially seeing the startlist, but I would have thought it required significantly better sprinting from Farantakis. So this is a very welcoming surprise for us - and catapults us into the title fight I think. We come away from this race with something like 50-100 points more than expected, which gives us a bit of leeway to make atleast one hickup in the final races. I can't do more than one though.
Thanks for the great reports!

Congrats SotD. That non sprint in the 4th stage cost Kennett dear but still a great race from him.
Great reports from Ulrich too
That result gives us some vague hope going into the final races

Congrats SotD! And thanks UU for the reports.
Kalaba comes close to the win in the end but just missed that one extra bonus finish position. Still pretty happy with third and eighth from Bjerg.

Howson did his thing again and Cataford was better on stage 5. Really thought the former would be challenging for the win here but guess the stage needed to be a couple of kilometers longer!
Congrats to SotD and thanks for the reports Ulrich

Not ideal, but a bunch of points from various places should make this a decent scoring race

Decent ride from Durbridge, stage win and 5th in GC is good enough in my books. Thanks for the report!

That should put ELCO back in pole position for the title fight, as well as knock us out of it. Thanks for the reports UU!

As good as we could expect: Two stage wins, top 10 GC, and the points classification
Thanks for the reports!
