Herald Sun wrapped up.
Pretty much what we would expect from McCormick in the race, got in the breaks but not much end product until that last stage. Wilson gets our best every result from a break. Real pity he is level 3 at age 29, his stats are very solid. Torn about whether it is worth it to try and get him a PT loan to max next year.
The TT was amazing - middle of Gretsch's ride the wind turned and just killed them. Agree Dumoulin might have won anyway but the rest of the top 10 would have been very different. Sympathies to Glanbia and Project Africa.

Great race for us Dumoulin winning, Henttala and Watson scoring GC points is more than we were expecting. Shame to lose the Teams classification on the last day but it's ok. Gjensidige have been the attackers of the division all season and deserve this one as well.
Thanks for the great reports Ulrich

Unfortunate that our best sprint result ends up behind a breakaway win. But I guess it's fun to see those succeed every once in a while. Selig moves up to 2nd in the points classification, giving us a few points and it shows his consistency. Hadi adds 2 points from the GC. Not a whole lot, in total, but better than nothing. Thanks for the reports!

Well, 4th and 7th is decent. Happy that breakaway got reeled back from their big gap, because it seemed like we might unnecesarily lose a place in GC.
Congrats Philips for the win and thanks for the reporting Ulrich!

Zero pointers zero point. If I take this and Course as a combo, this dud is a sacrifice I am willing to make. Of course, I wish Quaade didn't fail completely and we had gotten into a couple of breaks, but overall this race didn't matter much for us at this point, with the title out of reach and promotion secured.
Thanks for the reports Ulrich and congrats again to Abhi!

Absolute horror show throughout the entire race. No stage points by Scully out of 4 sprints, no breakaway attempts - I don't get it. Well, Scully's time as a part-time sprinter with this team is probably over now.
I agree with bbl to take this one and Solidarnosc as a combo, even though I definitely had higher hopes for both (especially for this one of course). Uncool to have such an underwhelming final month of an overall great season.
Congrats to Abhi.

This went better than expected. 4th by Gogl on the last stage, 5th by Koren overall and KOM for Janse van Rensburg. We couldn't dream of getting anything more out of this race.
Thank you so much for the reports Ulrich! |

Really nice to see Oram having such a nice season. I never really wanted to let him go, but seeing his success on this level, it was definitely the right decision!
