Was really hoping for some more aggressive riding here, in especially by Keinath.
But stage likely was too easy on the slopes.
Well done, tsmoha. |

Weird split at the end there. At least no one dangerous and looked like the guys took it easy. A little pity that we lost the lead in the teams, points and U26 classification though.
Congrats to Farfetch though, perfect timing from Lander.

Well, that went better than I could have reasonably expected
Now to see if Cattaneo can hold onto that podium place to make this a very good race for us. |

Too bad Petit couldn’t take the win with this many riders at his aid, but 2nd is a good result, especially with Weber also in 6th. Leading the team GC doesn’t matter as we will be shattered :-)
Good stage performances so far. Now to hopefully see some breakaways from Cataldo or Vuillermoz.

Weird selection of sprinters in the front and unfortunately despite most of the team up there for Vesely, Keinath wasn`t, which would have been a nice gain for him.
From 5 sprinters coming out as 4th is unlucky I guess, in especially having such strong support. But well, the profile wasn`t easy, so can`t complain for another top5 here.
Even if he is one of the strongest here, he is no elite sprinter, so taking the points regularly is nice and welcome.
Now Keinath though has to improve to also get GC points as so far it`s a rather bad race for him. |

Not joining the breakaway early on only means the chances to get involved are fewer. Really hope we turn up for the early fight to join, no matter if the breakaway succeeds or not. If not, this will be a rather anonymous race for us.
Thank you for the report! |

It's been a while since I had free headspace for the ManGame amidst everything going on lately and currently, so I have some catching up to do!
Just like with the Vuelta, we have to sacrifice our points scoring potential in stage races without Herklotz, and while I would've enjoyed to see him return to Switzerland as the reigning champion, it was that one race day difference between this and the Dauphine that made it mathematically impossible for him to participate here.
Therefore, I also can't moan about potential start list strength differences between the two races, as there simply wasn't any way of avoiding the stronger race of the two.
Christian Mager is on paper our best climber here, which says it all, but we field riders like Ganna, Niu and Madouas who are our future and therefore always great to follow, especially since all of them have already overperformed in several races this season.
Conor Dunne also loves the breaks.
On stage 1 however, it was our youngest rider Florian Stork giving it a go, a very solid stage racer in the future.
Sadly he couldn't claim sole second place in the KoM after winning the first sprint, but again we didn't expect him to score any points this season, so we also gladly take the single point!
16th and 18th for Weinstein and Ganna in the long TT are amazing results for the two youngsters, with especially the Italian on track to become a top force in that discipline eventually. Three points for these two for 2nd and 3rd in the U25 plus another one for Stork makes 5 points above minimum already!
Looks like Mager watched Vasyliv in the Vuelta and saw how breakaways are done! And unsurprisingly, he also saw how you get dropped from them!! ((
Honestly unacceptable. 74mo and 77hil on such a stage, that was the second best stat combo of that break and easily better than Fiorelli, Mosca, Schönberger and Gesbert. A nice attempt, but again we have to be content with a few unexpected points when it easily could've been many unexpected points.
Four more points total, with Weinstein hanging on in the U25. A stage win and the KoM lead would've been 46 though!
STAGE FOUR, FILIPPO GANNA!
That was so close to a stage win there with the wonky AI, but I'll take the white jersey too, thank you very much! Another three points added.
All in all, these first four stages were quite intriguing, and I can't believe we managed to score points in every single mass start stage so far with a very weak squad.
3/3 breakaways is very satisfying, in combination with the similarly ridden Vuelta, especially considering that was our weakest aspect in the past years.

Another bit weird stage, but a great result for us with five riders top 12. Some valuable seconds for Phinney also, and certainly some nice points for the points classification as well.
Congrats on the win, knockout!

Why you no attack?! Oh well, one more stage down without too much happening is also OK I guess. Mavrikakis in 10th to pick up his first ever stage point.
We really have to send a guy in the break tomorrow though, as that stage could prove vital in so many aspects.

PCM18 is really growing on me - a hilly stage where not only was Cattaneo not dropped, but Lander managed to finish 4th and take the lead of the points classification. I'm sure I'll come to regret my celebration, but for now I'm a big PCM18 fan |

Shortly after Dzamastagic wins a stage in the Vuelta, it is Vosekalns to win a stage from a break. At least there are still some things that dont change between games

Another breakaway appearance, and another day in white! Can't ask for more.
Mager with the late attack even showing that he keeps trying to improve his stock within the team when presented with the opportunity.
Tomorrow would be a great day for him to join the break, with the second half of the stage surely suiting a break.

Ohh man... I really looked forward to this stage as it was obviously here we should see Cataldo and Vuillermoz give it a go. But no... For some reason they just refuse to attack despite having perfect stats to do so, even decent fighterstats and absolutely no responsibilities in this race.
Oh well - another day went by without anything happening and it is really nice seeing Ioannidis here in 7th place. Obviously the TT on stage 8 and even more the mountainstage on 9th will see him drop - but it woud be amazing to see him finish within top 20. Fingers are crossed. Now for two stages that should suit us well. Petit and Vlatos aready showed themselves nicely here so maybe they can continue?

Vangstad still sitting pretty in 6th as the climbers and GC riders seem to be all in for the final mountain stage, and playing the waiting game until then. It's just super weird |

For whatever reason my team decided to not go into the break and instead chase behind...just to do nothing then.
GC wise not a successful one so far. |
