Could it be an idea, to do as they did on PCMGeeks.dk. They did the thing that they deleted all the PM's ofcourse people has to warned so they can keep a few important post, if they have any, and last year the deleted all post in PCM06 forum as most people don't use it any more, I don't know how big an effect it will have, but it will proberbly have an effect.

Every little thing counts, and people like you, Crommy, Addy, Crue that has been on the site for a long time, proberbly has 1000's of PM's each, and that can take lots of space in database that the side is saved in. (I'm not sure what I say is right or make any sense, as know nothing about this sort of things.)

I like that people listen to my advise ( ), as it may help a bit on the speed problem.

I just cleared mine too, just over 500 as well. Took a LONG time to do due to speed of the site, but hope it does help. As tesco says "every little helps"...

I can proudly say that I have been deleting all my 7 PM's (inbox and outbox alltogether). 11 and a half year and 7 PM's that's very few a day

The site randomly gets faster at certain parts of the day. to me that just makes me more certain that someone is attacking the site. isn't there any way to check if someone accessing it is generating a monster traffic volume or flooding it with requests?
